Some additional information/correction 1. The village Hällevik has still 800 inhabitants but they changed the way of counting it (sorroundings were added) recently, that's why I found 1500. But it's 800 officially. 2. Hasse Larsson, ex-player on the sticker who sang with the supporters via megaphone in the end, he's not only a legend of Mjällby but the current sporting director of the club, one of the main reasons why it's going so well for Mjällby. 3. Sillastrybarna - the official supporters' group of Mjällby: The name is in local accent, the original one would be "Sillastryparna" which translates as "The Herring Stranglers" - referring to local industry. The group was founded in 1992. 4. The literal translation of the tifo would be with "garden" and not "backyard" as the last word as some of you mentioned. Still, from cohesion POV is seemed more appropriate for me to use "Sweden's backyard" since it sounds rather specific than "Sweden's garden".
This video was on another level! Super work and interesting. I mean even as a connoisseur of Swedish football Mjällby (ord dandruff village) is not so known. Especially the fans around the club and their identity.
Great production! I'm a fan of Djurgården, but one fan base you haven't done yet is Norrköping's. It's a classic club with a lot of culture. Quite big city too. Try one of their bigger games, like Hammarby/AIK/DIF.
Cool, am gonna enjoy this. I live a few miles away from Hällevik where the games are played but I do attend the majority of games and of course I was there for this game. One of the two best nights ever for me at Strandvallen and I've been going for many years. Good weather, full house and taking points 4, 5 and 6 this season against the giant little brother ,-) Malmö FF. Place was electric!
Amazing video and happy 2nd anniversary of the channel. You deserved that media/pitch pass. I hope other clubs in Allsvenskan will grant you the same accessibility after they watch this vid :D Probably not the big 5 clubs but yeah good luck!
Thanks for your kind words! Blåvitt already have twice last year, ÖIS as well once but things have changed since then. One thing I won’t do though is giving up on this
I must say you really impress me with your professionalism, your content and yor way of expressing yourself in front of camera, even though your clearly low budget. Would be both disappointed and surprised if you don’t do this professionally in a few years.
What an amazing job you are doing. I love your passion and you realy give the viewers a fair picture of what Mjällby Aif is about. It´s a club were everybody nows that it all about being the best at the the smal things and things that can´t be bought. Mjällby will get players to sign up for them and agreeing to lower pay because they offer someone else and real.
I’v actually been there, we were visiting the ”Hälleviksbadet” right next door with the kids while vacationing in Skåne. It was an amazing sight right in the middle of nowhere pretty much. I can relate aswell as we are called farmers ourself, but in the hockey league instead :)
Always so satisfying when the countryside teams beat the crap out of the big city teams. I used to play in a small team in the middle of nowhere. We only had 1 player that made it to more professional teams that I can think of. Last I heard she was playing for FC Rosengård, in Malmö, but that was a few years ago now.
Never been to Strandvallen but it sure reminds me of old, Domnarsvallen in Borlänge 3 hours NW of Stockholm. IK Brage from Borlänge were a solid Allsvenskan team in the 80s and have not been able to win promotion since releagation back in 1993. They are currently in Superettan.
ive been going to every home game for mjällby the entire season and we havent been winning a lot at home so it was great to finally get one especially against malmö a lot of people in blekinge (especially western bleking) support mjällby including me
Most games at Strandvallen don't reach 3000, Malmö is quite special for the club due to historic cooperation and being one of the teams close enough for a significant number of away fans to travel
I've got to say, as a Malmö fan this is embarassing to lose this. We definetaly should win matches like these especially considering we're in the title race. Good video anyways and I hope you go to some more Malmö matches in Malmö🙂
@@TzOn79 We’re Malmö. The best club in the norden. With out money we should basically win every game and win every season. But we will always support our club, wether that be in allsvenskan or division 1.
I mean, I have huge respect for mjällby and what they have done. But it isn’t really the smallest in sweden, village wise. There is a huge difference between Degerfors and Mjällby on this side of things because hällevik and Mjällby is based with the Sölvesborg-Municipality that has roughly 17 500 inhabitants. Compare that to degerfors where the Municipality is at 10 000 inhabitants. Degerfors also has one of the poorest Municipalities in sweden, wich makes the club chances to compete very harder.
@@ztarch1ld Karlskoga is a hockey town and in a different municipality. And we still had a great fanbase and backing in superettan for being a club of this size. We hadn’t even been in the top flight since 1997 and had been relegated multiple times to the third division. Saying we had a bad fanbase is like saying milk age well. We still had people traveling every away game. Even in div 1

This video is like a documentary due to the length, really nice! Keep up the good work💪

IFK - AIK today, "unfortunately" CN is sold out, but I guess it shouldn't be impossible to get a ticket

I can say nobody from Malmö really considers Mjällby a rival or hold any strong hate towards them, but of course we are upset about losing twice now.
Quality vlog, mate! Love the pitch side view!
The right translation for the big banner of Mjällby would be ” Garden” and not ”Backyard”. Good video!
As a note, Blekinge (the region Mjällby plays in) Is nicknamed Sveriges Trädgård, Sweden's Garden
@@emanuelravemyr5561 Very surprised @HFV missed out on that translation. Very easy since trädgård never translates to backyard.
Come on guys😄 the difference in meaning of the 2 words is little to none, they’re synonyms
great video, glad you came to our beautiful arena. you are always welcome back. Forza Mjällby💛🖤

I'll try!

Mjällby 💛🖤💛🖤
When are you vlogging Spain?
The smallest settlement with top flight football in Europe is Loughgall of Northern Ireland with a population of 350 people
Loughgall F.C. Is a Semi-Professional club. But still pretty cool 😍
Perhaps we can meet, am a football clogger base in Spain
Come back to Mjällby

if utsikten goes up they are even smaller ... they are from gothenburg , but have only som 3-400 supporters on there games

Everytime we went to Degerfors in Superettan you had no fanbase at all. Karlskoga 15 min away from Degerfors aswell.

if you look at the population, hällevik has less than degerfors
