Sounds cool! I'm reminded of the old d20 setting Midnight, which was a very thinly disguised "Middle Earth If Frodo Failed And Sauron Won" world. The Haven system in particular sounds promising.
There was an interesting anthology of short stories set after the Lovecraftian Mythos gods won and returned to Earth/our reality. Obviously, none of it was good. But I liked the idea. I've often contemplated running a Call of Cthulhu campaign, and if they ultimately fail, keeping it going so they have to deal with the aftermath. Masks of Nyarlathotep, for example. What would the world be if the investigators don't succeed? Whatever the case, this looks interesting. I don't do D&D, but I imagine it's got a lot of good material to mine for whatever game.
Funny to hear The Dark Tower mentioned as an inspiration, it’s a setting that could really lend itself to a good RPG or even a skirmish/campaign game in a Necromunda style.
They way you described the "Post Storm of Chaos" Warhammer world is actually very close to how the eponymous city, who's name once began with an M, is depicted in, "Gotrek and Felix: City of the Damned"
Oooh this is an interesting one, something I didn't expect from you! But perfect for me, since "Chaos wins, but the world carries on" is exactly how it should have been after a (actually well written) End Times event imo, rather than AoS. I might use your ideas if I ever run a WHFRP campaign through the end of the Warhammer Fantasy world :) Edit: Aww man, you changed the title and thumbnail. The originals are what made me click lol
I still think Broken Weave could be so good for that Chaos wins campaign, but the old YT game requires trying out a few alternatives for titles and thumbs these days sadly!
Sauron, Palpatine, Nurgle, Khorne, Slaanesh and Tzeentch did nothing wrong, they were just sticking to their principles and just convincing people that their way was the right way !

Very interesting idea for a setting, and like you say, plenty of opportunity to use to drive that kind of game in other settings.
Love Broken Weave. Thanks for raising its profile

Wait, all those influences and nobody noticed "Grimdark Neverending Story"?
That’s a good suggestion!

It definitely feels like there’s space for some really interesting ’post-failure’ scenarios there

Looks really cool!

CHAOS RULES JORDILOOOOVE!!
This sounds like a fun toolkit, I'd probably pull out the fun mechanics to use in other systems too if they look promising!
Sounds a bit like my game The Black Iron.
Age of Sigmar but s**t got real
Age of Sigmar but it actually has good lore lol
