It’s early morning and both Aria and Nero hoped to wake up with enough time to make their planned breakfast but it’s just their luck their planned breakfast had ingredients they no longer had (not really well planned actually). Even with trying to find substitutes both gave in the towel and Nero sighed as he decided to the market to stock up on food again.
It’s been awhile though, Aria thought. Not surprising, Nero did like to browse around there to think heavily on dishes he could make and what could save money- a big reason why she preferred to not tag along.
It was almost 10:30 though…
“Hey, be careful please. I would rather none of us go and talk to the random guy upstairs for right now…” Nero said before leaving, gathering his bags.
“What?” Aria said, puzzled.
“I mean we can’t even do anything to help him, we should just wait for the doctors to come back.” Nero shrugged.
“Do you know how awkward it is to just drop off food and nothing else?”
“Well it’s more awkward that he showed up bloodied and beaten up, doesn’t help he gives us death glares every time we enter.”
“We don’t know why that has happened yet.” stated firmly, she hates how Nero can be quick to judge sometimes
“Exactly. Just- Please don’t, I don’t want something to happen.” Nero said as he closed the door on his way out.
Aria understood the concerns, but she couldn’t help but feel bad. Couldn’t he imagine himself in the guy’s shoes? He’s probably just confused and in pain, she would give death glares too if it was all she could do.
But now over an hour and a half has passed and she can’t wait any longer, the guy is probably hungry. She makes her way to the kitchen and looks over her baskets on the counter, some filled with nuts or herbs but she targets the strawberries, making sure to get the right batch from her memory.
Aria hurries with cutting the fruit up knowing it would probably be easier to eat for the stranger, getting rid of the leaves and setting them aside (she doesn’t mind them personally but just to be sure.). She ponders though while cleaning up her mess.
Sure, did they find him with blood absolutely everywhere? Yes.
Does the stranger have wings? Also yes.
Again she understands Nero’s reason to worry, it’s not like she isn’t too but there has to be a reasonable explanation, he doesn’t have that “I’m a killer” vibe. He just looks constantly confused like they are.
But she guesses Nero is right, only a little bit though. The guy can’t be all bad, Nero is just being a little dramatic, he’ll see.
She feels his presence like a small consciousness on her shoulder telling her otherwise as she scrapes the strawberries into a bowl, pouring sugar in another for another sweet treat.
She can hear the scolding already but she’ll hear the real thing later. Right now all she has to do is get on the guy’s good side, maybe he’ll feel more relaxed and explain some stuff then. It shouldn’t be too hard either. If one thing she has learned living here is that warm welcomes mixed with food is a great introduction.
Making her way down the upstairs' hallway though it came to her that there's a chance he couldn’t even eat strawberries, surely he would be able to tell her that though? A little worried now that she may kill the new guest, she knocks on the door to warn the newcomer she was there.
Todd already knew though, he’s recognizing which footsteps are whose when they walk down the path, the woman’s footstep pattern seem to be more relaxed than the others, making the softest thuds on the floor. He was a little eased at that, he doesn’t think she would do anything from what he has seen of her so far.
“Good Morning.” Aria says with an upbeat tone peering over the doorway. She’s met with amber eyes that don’t exactly look angry like before, but not so welcoming either.
I just need to talk, she thinks as she pushes every inch of determination to her throat to keep the conversation going.
“Breakfast is going to take a bit, Nero went out to get the last ingredients we needed,” she starts, she doesn’t want him to think they were just gonna starve him. “I thought you’d want something small though in the meantime-”
She looks around the room for a quick second, taking notice of the food on the nightstand looking as if some of it was eaten. Shame though the bread wasn’t touched, she’ll just throw it outside later.
But he’s eating, she thought to herself with a smile. Todd took notice of the correlation, a little confused by it really.
She notices the silence, he’s not really instigating anything it seems and probably won't, so it was up to her.
“... I brought strawberries and sugar” Aria raises the bowl to show, giving the hint again that it’s for him.
Todd looks away, it’s weird she’s just not coming in to him, isn’t this her home??

Aria takes it as an opening though, walking into the room with eagerness.
“It’s not much but it should be enough before Nero comes back!” She says as she makes her way to the night stand. “They’re also cut so they should be easier to eat.” She places the sugar bowl down. “They should be sweet too, I’ll set the sugar here though if you want more.”
Todd was intending to just ignore them, maybe they would leave quicker like last time, but as he felt her presence still there he begrudgingly looked over. It took him aback to see them offering him the bowl.
He didn’t sense an ounce of hostility. It honestly made him feel kind of silly. Was he expecting too much of something that wouldn't happen? Is he worrying for nothing??
Nonetheless he uses his good arm to grab it, quickly setting it in his lap as Aria helped herself to the doctor's stool, Todd was surprised she was staying.
“Sorry for the room, it was originally a guest room but then we just kinda stuffed it with stuff for storage-” she starts with as she’s noticing the state it was in. “Our cat kinda took it over though so if you see her just say hi, she’ll probably leave.”
A better answer would’ve been to just not look at her or she would take it as a challenge but Aria didn’t want to offset their new guest. Meanwhile though Todd was focused with the bowl of red things, so weirdly shaped and covered in little white dots.
He appreciates the gesture of giving him food but what is this??? She said it was sweet didn’t she?
It would be rude to not accept the offer though, so with a shaky hand he grabs one. He overlooks it one more time before taking a small bite out of caution. The flavor hit him like a rock though as he processed the flavor.
It was good, insanely good- nothing like the fruit at home, she got him this?? Where?? To even get a decent apple took a lot. How did she get this much of this stuff? And it was all for him??
He turned to her bewildered and in awe of his new discovery, this is so much better than whatever he ate last night. Aria was still in the room discussion before realizing a thought. “Hah, you know I just realized I haven’t properly-” she cuts herself off short when she looks up to face back at him, seeing a whole new expression on the stranger's face, quite literally when his eyes became a whole different type.
“Your...” she says blankly, a low tone too making Todd nervous he already messed up whatever introduction this was, did he do something wrong?
“Your eyes.” Aria repeated, loosely pointing at him- “Your eyes!! They can change!!” exclaimed Aria as she lurched forward in her seat with excitement. Todd was a lil caught off guard to react, did he react to the food? What state is his eyes in now? He can’t lie how annoyed he gets when he can’t keep that part of him discreet like Varian could.
“Did I miss that earlier?” Aria mumbles, catching Todd’s full attention again.
“I mean, they’re a new type of eyes I’ve never seen but they can change! Are you similar to Nero? Why did they change now?? Can you do it more??” She rambles, Aria notices though how the guest was just sitting there appalled, looking too confused to know which question to answer first. It doesn’t help that she also just remembers he can’t even talk yet.
“Oh, Sorry.. You still have a lot going on for you, never mind those questions, I hope the strawberries are okay though!” she smiles.
Aria can’t lie that she is a bit prideful for finding that batch, she isn’t gonna let an opportunity to say she found it slip by either. “Should be the sweetest patch I've explored this season, especially in Everdawn.” she says with a high note, climbing that part of the mountain sucked but they found it!
She watches as the man’s attention quickly turns to the window at that mention though, as if he was looking for something…
or somewhere…
OH WAIT!
“Do you know where you are?” She nervously says while turning back to him, maybe that's a big reason why he is so confused, obviously!
“Everdawn is one of the higher placed villages in the mountain valley. We’re kinda small though.” She rushes as she quickly gets up to go open the curtains. “It’s not bad here for the weather, in fact with the skies it’s kinda how it got its name.”
Todd is hit with light as the lady pulls open the curtains. A whole different scenery hit his eyes as he moved from object to object to analyze in the window frame. There's a whole different mountain scenery than he wasn’t used to, small groups of houses and the clouds looked nothing like they did at home. Nothing at all looked familiar to him..
where…..WHERE AM I????
Todd feels his body run cold as he truly starts taking in his situation, maybe him freaking out last night was validated. He flew that far?? But how far?? Where is he at right now?
“Oh! I meant to say earlier-” Aria says happily “ I don’t think I’ve introduced myself!!”
Todd turns his view to her, seeing a welcoming expression on their face. “I’m Aria, Aria Flores Arias. It’s nice to finally meet you!”

I found the “Two birds on a wire” video yesterday. I liked it a lot. Then i saw the #1 so I looked for #2. I found it and watched it. I binged them all and read all the _detailed summaries_ too. And boy oh boy, you got me crying myself to sleep yesterday after thinking about this for over an hour. I am so invested in this story! It is incredibly interesting. I got a smaller XP pen model and god dam the on refused to come out of the case to the point that I thought the big thing was the pen until I re checked I had to get something to help me grip just like when the pickle jar won’t open but with a pen

ive seen all 6 of these, and i rewatch themm all the time when im feeling down, they remind me of an old rp i did a few years ago, before i fell into a deep depression, that randomly hits hard around this time of year, and i just want to say, that these help me feel a bit happier know people still have these type of things, and i hope this story continues
