You know, sometimes I wonder why some Japanese bands spell their band names in all caps, but with this band, it seems completely appropriate. They're not Lovebites...they're LOVEBITES. The guitarists don't play guitars; they play GUITARS. The singer doesn't sing; she SINGS. The drummer is DRUMMING. The bassist is PLAYING BASS.
Now folks, don't get me wrong: I adore Miyako's guitar (and piano) skills and her songwriting any day of the year - but honestly, let's talk about Midori here: For me, her fist part of that solo is frankly one of the COOLEST guitar solos EVER! So well written, so well played! ❤❤❤ Asamis vocals are, of course, awesome as usual and Mihos bass work steady as a rock! Haruna's drumming, though, is out of this world. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm ready to bet this woman is running on rocket fuel!
P.S. Now that I've had the privilege of seeing them on stage in Lindau this June I can confirm that they can do all this crazy stuff live just as well as in the studio - even though not many folks here are likely to doubt that. And they make it look so easy - especially Fami: Smiling and laughing all the time as if she was saying she's having the greates time of her life playing that music. You couldn't see and hear that and not feel uplifted. Or quoting Lemmy: "Shake your head, you must be dead if it don't make you fly..."
Please help spread the word, their label does not do very much to promote them outside of Asia, and as you can hear for yourself they very much deserve to be one of the bigger names in the metal genre.

My very first Lovebites song, found it not too long after its release. When the "Rising" Music Video came out I really digged in for what it would become my favorite power metal(and thrash too) of the last 5 years.
So emotional!! The song that introduced me to LOVEBITES, and I was, no, I still am blown away whenever I listen to them guitar battle. Midori and Miyako quickly became two of my most favorite shredders. Kinda miss Midori with this hairstyle lol.
The song was originally released on 9/22/2017 on 3 separate channels SliptrickRecordsTV 630K views Victor Entertainment 170K views JPU Records 109K views So when they re-released it on the LOVEBITES Channel, they didn't transfer the original views with it, and most people had already watched it many times already.
This video proves that LOVEBITES can play in a garage and still look amazing. Miyako moves a lot more in this video than other ones. They are my favorite metal band these days.

Yeah I was thinking that so often back in the day there would be a lead guitarist and a rhythm guitarist in a band. And if you ever saw a video they were generally either a bunch of ugly fellahs, or a bunch of pretty fellahs all glammed up. Now you know after enjoying Midori's solo you get more from Miyako

I really appreciate uploading this video without any ads. To me, this is one of the best songs in the worldwide metal history, different, fresh, jaw-dropping… and gorgeous. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just five years. I remember when I watched this video (by a reaction channel) a little more than two years ago and I just couldn’t believe my eyes; actually I’m still in owe. I just cannot wait for their comeback. I’ve already purchased the Blue-Rays of “Daughters of the dawn”, “Five of a kind” and “Heavy metal never dies”, and the “Electric pentagram” CD that includes the DVD of their performance at Wacken, Germany, 2018. Quite expensive but definitely worth it. Greetings from Mexico.

I really appreciate uploading this video without any ads. To me, this is one of the best songs in the worldwide metal history, different, fresh, jaw-dropping… and gorgeous. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just five years. I remember when I watched this video (by a reaction channel) a little more than two years ago and I just couldn’t believe my eyes; actually I’m still in owe. I just cannot wait for their comeback.
I’ve already purchased the Blue-Rays of “Daughters of the dawn”, “Five of a kind” and “Heavy metal never dies”, and the “Electric pentagram” CD that includes the DVD of their performance at Wacken, Germany, 2018. Quite expensive but definitely worth it.
