Hi Sharon! I love the idea of the Bermuda Triangle in your laundry room, LOL, too funny! I'm in Edmonton, Alberta but your friend has some beautiful scenery to look at in Calgary. I hope you have a blissful week ahead. Thank you for watching and your kind words mean so much to us here.

It's great showing your sewing room. We all have small or big sewing rooms. Quiltter's do the best they can with the space you have. It's just the love of quilting.
Great way to organize and make good use of every inch of space. I have always had to use my dining room table or a spot in a spare bedroom until about 4 years ago and we had to move, and our home has a huge unfinished basement, so my hubby goes, is this big enough for your quilting lol. So am very spoiled. But it is so nice to see how you organized your space to make sense of your different colors and sizes. My material has always just been thrown in a box all together. But I am slowing starting to get more organized.
Thank you for showing me your sewing room. I feel better now, I’ve been told I’m too OCD. I too store all my fabrics in plastic buckets all color coordinated. Your rom is smaller than mine but it is “organized chaos“ is how I discribe my room. Lol. I love your channel and I’ve told my Mom’s quilting gals in Jaffary BC, now several of them follow you too. Thanks again for sharing. Gwen Vinoly.

Hi Cyn! I'm glad that you liked this. I'm in a room at is only 10 by 12 feet so it is pretty small compared to some sewing rooms so I have to be organized. I also work better when the room is not too cluttered. I hope you have a gentle week ahead. Thank you for watching and those kind words mean so much to us here.
Hi Janine! My sewing room studio doe not look like that all the time, sometimes, people only get the one clean view, LOL. I pile stuff on my ironing board to the point you can't see it. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead! Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel
OMGOSH, Area 51! That's hilarious! I went right to my label maker and made several labels of that for a few places (Areas) in my house and sewing room!
Hello Kera! I have been calling my UFO's that my quite a while and one day, I was chatting with friends and it popped out. The scary thing now is my Area 51 is more than hip high! LOL, I hope you have a fun and creative week ahead! Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel.
Hi Jocelyne. I'm happy that you liked this video and it gave you some ideas. I have a lot of stuff in this space and I feel better about life if it is organized. However if you walked into my sewing room today, you would only get one clean view, LOL. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thank you for watching and your kind comments mean so much to us here.
Hi Annell! Awesome! you have your own channel. It was so nice to meet you at the stitch marathon and I hope you had fun! Thank you for your support of our little channel!
LOL, I use those little plastic bags a lot for sorting out quilting projects. My Area 51 has double in size since we filmed that video. My UFO's don't excess my age so I'm ok, for now. Thank you for your kind comments!
Hi Tracey. I'm glad you liked this video! I have to stay organized in a small space. I hope you have a joyful week ahead! Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel.

Thank you for sharing your work space. We arrange things similarly. It's a challenge to sew and create in a small space for sure. Thank you for the video 😊👍
Hello Wily Cat. My sewing room is only 10 x 12 which may be large for some people but really small for others. My husband and I have always had to make things work so being organized was a big plus. I hope you have an awesome day ahead! Thank you for watching, your support and your kind comments!
Brenda, I am so laughing!!!! ..." area 51 " hahaha I love that!!!! My AREA 51 IS LARGE!!!! LOL LOL WHAT A GREAT WAY TO SAY UFO!!!! My sewing room is 10 x 11 And cramed full of stuff!!! You are not alone!!! You are very organized!!! I am maybe some organized..... Kinda!!!! Lol lol lol You do Beau work!!! Fun to watch you SueAnn from snow country Idaho
That is awesome! I feel better that I'm not the only one in a small sewing room. LOL! Also, I would like to invite you on March 4, 2022 for the International Stitch Marathon and the zoom link will be here on my channel closer to this date. Thanks for watching and you support of our little channel!
Hi Marilyn! I'm happy that you enjoyed this video and found it to be interesting. I sometimes wish I had a bigger room but than I think that I would just put more stuff into it, LOL. I hope you have a joyful week ahead! Thank you for watching and your kind comments mean so much to us here!
Brenda, thank you for sharing your studio set up and sharing your knowledge. I have recently discovered your videos and have already learned so much from you. You are so calm and real. I love that! You have become my favourite RUclips quilter to watch each day. I wish you much success and hope your channel stays the same...pure, simple and made with love. You are awesome and your format is great! Kudos to your camera person as well. Hugs from BC, Canada. 🌞
Hello HS. I'm glad you liked this older video. My sewing room is only 10 x 12 which may be large for some people but really small for others. My husband and I have always had to make things work so being organized was a big plus. Hugs back to you from Edmonton, Alberta! I hope you have an awesome day ahead! Thank you for watching, your support and your kind comments!
My sewing room is bigger; but, your sewing room is better organized. I am thinking of taking the folding table down and storing it with it's match. That way I should have more free floor space when I move the heavy duty work table to the center of the room. When I want to machine quilt, I can remove the two folding tables from storage and set them up in the living room (where I have the most space to be able to move around and keep the quilt from falling off the tables to the floor). A better storage space for the folding tables may be brhind the sofa (next to the wall. where they are out of sight. It is very hard to get them in and out of that closet. Right now, I think I need to make more baskets and move some shelves on my metal shelving units (which are like yours). Touring your sewing studio helped me see many things I may be able to improve in my sewing room. Thank you for this video.
Hi Arvetta! I wish I had a bigger sewing space but I'm trying to make this space work. We also film in there so it can get really tight with camera and lights. I love your idea of the heavy duty table. I'll have to give it some more thought as to how to arrange the little room. Thanks for your kind words and support!
Hello Di! I'm glad that you liked this video. I just want to say that I have been enjoying the content on your channel as well. I hope you have a great day ahead! Thank you for watching and your kind comment!
Bobbin ring around the mug?!? Genius!! You have just cleared up some space on my sewing table as I keep my rotary cutters in a mug but had a separate case sitting nearby for bobbins. I use a lot of the same storage solutions --- right down to re-purposed berry containers for block piecing parts. Enjoyed your tour!! Happy quilting!!
Hi Kathy! I have to stay organized in this small space. Right now, honesty, you get one clean view of my sewing room in our filming, LOL. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thank you for watching and your kind comment means so much to us here.
My sewing room is about 1.5 times bigger than yours, but so much less organized! I just got a huge influx of sewing/crafting supplies from my recently deceased stepmom, and haven't had a chance to incorporate it into my existing inventory. I also have more than just quilting supplies as I do garment construction, knitting and crocheting, and a bit of doll making. I need to get organized!
Hi Java! I'm glad you liked this. My sewing room works well for me so if you can use an idea or two, please feel free to use the idea. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead! Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel.
Hi Susan! I have to stay organized in this little space. Some days, you are only going to get the 1 clean view, LOL. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thanks for watching and supporting our little channel.
Hello Colette! I'm delighted that you liked our video. I have been thinking about doing this block for a while. The next Psychedelic Snowflake quilt video will drop on June 1 and it is going to be a free sew along. I hope you have a lovely week ahead! The next virtual Zoom sew date is on May 4, 2024 at 9:00 am to 5:00 pm MST. If you are interested, please come and sew with us. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel.
Hi Corey! I have to stay organized in this little space. I also have all the filming equipment now too. I hope you have a great week ahead. Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel.
Oh, my goodness! Where have you been all my life? I just stumbled on your site because of the Mount Scrapmore reference. I love it! If I could enter my "studio area," I would like to use quite a number of your ideas. Are we twin sisters from different mothers, by chance? I began sewing at age 4 and quilting at age 14, besides all of the other needlearts that I have collected in between and beyond. "If anything sits still too long at our house, it gets stitched! Keeps sweet hubby and all fur folk on the move..." From this discovery of you, I have 21 tabs open on my RUclips Channel...More later... pj stitches! (it's what I do!)
Hello PJ! I'm glad you liked this video! Yes, maybe sisters from another mother when it comes to quilting. I started sewing when I was five and hand quilting right after that. I think my mom and grandmother was hoping that I would stab myself once and be gone out of the sewing room but I hung in there. I hope you have a fabulous day and a wonderful week ahead! Thank you for watching and your kind comment means so much to us.
Sorry, hit enter on last comment too soon. I love your studio and your storage ideas. I especially like having pieces prepped for future quilts. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Thanks so much! I have to be organized in a small space! I just love your sewing room on your channel but I think you have far more room. Thank you for supporting our little channel.
I love seeing how other quilters work in their sewing spaces. I always come away with some ideas. But my first reaction was WOW! you've got a lot in your room and I think my space is about 10 x 8. One of the things I noticed was the lack of sewing machines or in my case I have too many (i.e. hoarding of vintage machines). I need to re-assess my need to have so many since the machines take up so much space! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Mary Anne! I now have 2 sewing machines in my space and it is causes some issues as the second machine takes up a lot more room than I thought it would but I find it is useful for other things because it has more stitches. I hope you have a joyful week ahead! Thank you for watching and kind commenting helps out our little channel.
Thanks Brenda,it may be small but it looks fab!!! i would love a sewing room,at the moment I use my kitchen table and it is so annoying having to take out and put away everything when I sew. I joke with my 21yr old that I can't wait for her to move out and then I can take over her room lol !!
I had to wait until a child moved out so I could claim a sewing room. I do miss having those two daughters around and in my home but I happy that they are happy with their lives. Hang in there, you will get a sewing room soon enough. Thank you for your support.
Your room is about the size of mine. I have to spilt down the middle, one side is my office space for when I work from home. One corner holds our deep freezer, I have one wall for the old dining table used for sewing/cutting. I have a closet with shelving. I like how you have your fabric pieces stored.
Hi Karin! I have to stay organized in a tiny space. Maybe I'm a little OCD but I just can't work with piles of stuff everywhere. I hope you have a fabulous week ahead! Thanks for watching and your kind words mean so much to us!
New subscriber from central NY. Love your channel name…saw it in a chat & had to check it out! I love scrappy quilts. Great suggestions and ideas. I’m converting a former bedroom too.
Hello Michele! You are most welcome and I'm glad that you liked this. I hope you have a joyful week ahead! I'm from Alberta, Canada! Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel.
LOL, yes, I have a lot of stuff too! You are so welcome! Also, you're invited on March 4, 2022 for the International Stitch Marathon and the zoom link will be here on my channel closer to this date. Thanks for watching and you support of our little channel!
My quilting studio is small as well but I still make lots of quilts!! It doesn’t have to be big to be functional. :-) just today discovered you so I’ve been binge watching!
Hello K Sharpe! In a small space, I have to be organized, LOL. I would love to send you an invitation to the International Stitch Marathon. Please email me so I can send you the Zoom link details. I can find my email in the "About" section on RUclips or try to email me at : brenda@conqueringmountscrapmore.com or you can send me a message at my Instagram account. I would love to send you an invitation. Thank you for your kind comments and for supporting our little channel
Hello Judy! I'm delighted that you liked my video. The Psychedelic Snowflake quilt is going to be a free sew along this fall. I hope you have a blissful week ahead! The next virtual sew date is on Sept 9, 2023 at 9:00 am to 5:00 pm MST. If you are interested, please come and sew with us. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel.
Brenda, it doesn’t look like you have any under the pegboard. Could you move the rulers down to the bottom of the pegboard, freeing up space to hang other “quilting toys”?
Hi Mary! I'm glad you liked this video. I usually have a cutting table or a sewing machine under the peg board. My husband put the heavy furniture on wheels and sliders so it is easier to move around the room for filming. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thanks for watching and your kind words mean so much to us here,
My 301A Singer was my mom's singer and that is the same sewing machine that I was taught to sew with. This little baby runs like a charm still. Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel!
Hi Connie! I now have 2 sewing machines in my space and it is causes some issues as the second machine takes up a lot more room than I thought it would but I find it is useful for other things because it has more stitches. I just use regular vinegar that you would use for cooking. I hope you have a joyful week ahead! Thank you for watching and kind commenting helps out our little channel.
Hello NRSICindy! I'm glad you asked this question. I just sewed the 2.5 x 6.0 inch pieces together for a quick and scrappy border for a quilt. Then I started to roll them into that large roll I also take it out sometimes to make a twin size quilt for a quick coins quilt. We have started a face book group and are currently voting on our virtual sew date for Oct 2022. If you are interested, please join and I would vote to hear from you. We are also doing a free sew along for the Nosegay quilt on this channel in the coming fall. I hope you have a peaceful and happy week ahead. Thanks for watching and supporting our little channel.
Hi Pamela! I can't drive by a quilt store without stopping and buying something, LOL. Thank you for watching and your kind comments mean so much to us.
The Singer 301A sewing machine was my mother's sewing machine and the sewing machine that I learnt how to sew on when I was young. The darker table is all one unit that my mom and Dad purchased many years ago with the sewing machine. The light table was a dining room table at my house after my children were born. There is a lot of fun memories in this sewing room. Thank you for your support of my channel.
Hello Karin! Do you mean a clapper like a homemade tailor's clapper??? This is used for ironing my seams really flat and it works so quick. My husband made this from a piece of oak that he sanded down really fine and smooth. I hope you have a great day! Thanks for your support of our little channel.
Hi Lopalew! I glad you liked this video. I don't have a cutting system because of the space it would take up for the cutter machine and all the cutting dyes. I cut with a rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler so I don't have too much waste and I can control the strings that I create. I hope you have a great week ahead! Thank you for watching and your support of our little channel.
Just curious....you have so many UFOs. I was wondering why? Do you ever just sit down and finish one or two, or are there reasons you stop one, and start something new? I didn't realize until 2 weeks ago when I went to organize my scraps, that I had a number of very old, unfinished projects as well as other bags with fabrics and notes on what I planned as future projects. It's now May of 2022. I could sew from my stash from now to Christmas 2024 with only an occasional trip to the store for backing or batting. I listed all the projects in my quilting journal. I have 3 projects with firm deadlines, 7 more I really want to do right away, and another 42 to finish or do in the future. I want to know that you eventually get to those unfinished projects, if only to give me hope that maybe I'll eventually get to all of mine. LOL
Hi K Frost! I now have my UFO's stacked and are hip high and yes I have to get working on them again. I hope you have a joyful week ahead! Thank you for watching and kind commenting helps out our little channel.
Hi NRSICindy! I don't use Foundation piecing to make that roll of Piano keys, I just sew them together. I hope you have a beautiful week ahead! Thank you for watching and your kind comments.
You’re so real. It feels like sewing with a friend. Love your channel!
Hi Cheryl! Thanks for your kind words and support!
Brenda, it’s wonderful how much you get done in such a small space! I envy your organization. I have at least twice the space but it’s a disaster! HA! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Karen! Thanks so much for all your kind words as they mean so much to us here.
Brenda has giving me very good ideas for quilt blocks. Thanks you Brenda.

It's great showing your sewing room. We all have small or big sewing rooms. Quiltter's do the best they can with the space you have. It's just the love of quilting.

Thank you for showing me your sewing room. I feel better now, I’ve been told I’m too OCD. I too store all my fabrics in plastic buckets all color coordinated.

Omg I can only wish my space was that organised…
Thank you for sharing your sewing studio. You are so well organized, it gave me ideas
I wonder how universal the "plastic bag fill of plastic bags" is. I loved the Area 51 comment.
Oh, this is Annell from the Stitch Marathon!
Hi Annell! Awesome! you have your own channel.
Awesome
Hi Tracey. I'm glad you liked this video! I have to stay organized in a small space. I hope you have a joyful week ahead! Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support of my channel.

That is awesome! I feel better that I'm not the only one in a small sewing room. LOL! Also, I would like to invite you on March 4, 2022 for the International Stitch Marathon and the zoom link will be here on my channel closer to this date. Thanks for watching and you support of our little channel!
Thank you for sharing, I no longer think of my room that is in the half story with the sloping walls as too crowded.
This is a really great project and a great way to use scraps. Thanks for sharing it and I can’t wait to make it❣️
You are so welcome! I'm so glad that you liked that idea! It puts a lot of useful tools within reach very quickly. Thank you for watching this video!
Thank you for sharing Brenda. So organized and chockful of beautiful creativity! ❤️
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing your space! Your quilts are amazing works of art.
Hi Susan! I have to stay organized in this little space. Some days, you are only going to get the 1 clean view, LOL. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thanks for watching and supporting our little channel.

So cool! Thank you for sharing this
When I saw the name of yr channel I had to subscribe. Yr sewing room is fantastic! Wow!
Hello Miss Social Deb! It is so nice to meet you on line. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thank you for watching and your kind comment.
I watched Steven's interview with you!
You have a new subscriber....

There is a lot of stuff in a small room. Thank you for your encouragement and support!
I also have a small space . But I have so much stuff it could fill a big space . Lol 😂
I can find my email in the "About" section on RUclips or try to email me at : brenda@conqueringmountscrapmore.com
or you can send me a message at my Instagram account. I would love to send you an invitation. Thank you for your kind comments and for supporting our little channel
I also add vinegar to my water, but not that much. Something to think about
Thanks for watching and your kind words mean so much to us here,
It's a wonderful well organized room. What is your sewing machine its a Singer but which one it is so quiet.
My 301A Singer was my mom's singer and that is the same sewing machine that I was taught to sew with. This little baby runs like a charm still. Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel!
Hi Brenda
Hello Teaquilts! It is so nice to see you here! I enjoy your channel too!
Brenda what kind of vinegar do you use for your spray bottle. I have a mountain of dress shirts just washed to press and cut up. Thanks
Do you use a paper foundation for your roll of piano keys?
Where do you buy all your fabrics ar
Hi Pamela! I can't drive by a quilt store without stopping and buying something, LOL. Thank you for watching and your kind comments mean so much to us.
You're very organized....is your sewing machine table the kind made for your machine or did you have to adjust the opening to fit it?
The Singer 301A sewing machine was my mother's sewing machine and the sewing machine that I learnt how to sew on when I was young. The darker table is all one unit that my mom and Dad purchased many years ago with the sewing machine. The light table was a dining room table at my house after my children were born. There is a lot of fun memories in this sewing room. Thank you for your support of my channel.
What is the clapboard used for? I think that's what you called it.
Hello Karin! Do you mean a clapper like a homemade tailor's clapper??? This is used for ironing my seams really flat and it works so quick. My husband made this from a piece of oak that he sanded down really fine and smooth. I hope you have a great day! Thanks for your support of our little channel.
@@conqueringmountscrapmorewi2509 yes, thank you for explaining. That was nice of your husband to make for you.
Do you cut by hand or do you have one of those cutting systems?
So no foundation?
Hi NRSICindy! I don't use Foundation piecing to make that roll of Piano keys, I just sew them together. I hope you have a beautiful week ahead! Thank you for watching and your kind comments.
