This is the battle of the Carbon Fiber Cases for the Google Pixel Fold! This video covers a very generic Pixel Fold Case that can be purchased off of ebay for $20+ vs the Latercase Cyber Edition that cost $60 at the making of this video. I compare the cases and tell you what I think of them both.

I picked up the pitaka magEz case for the fold. It comes in tomorrow. It was $79 so I'm a little apprehensive after seeing your two cases. I had a latercase on my iphone and loved it but also had one on my pixel 6 pro and i wasn't too impressed. Either way, I'm diggin your channel and LOVE this pixel fold. 🤤

I like them both today is the first full day with the later case no noticable difference in how it wears. I just picked up a purple.
I thought I would like he red/burgundy one better but after watching the video I think it does look "too burgundy". Leaning towards the black one myself.
It definitely depends on the lighting. It looked more red when I was shooting it. Here at work more burgundy.

How secure does the latercase feel without the adhesive? I've never had one of those slim cases before and I don't really use cases in general, but I'm thinking to get one for when I'm outdoors.
Just concerned that these adhesive cases will get loose, since I'll be taking mine off regularly. Awesome video btw
I've been using it a few days now and used the black first. I don't notice it feeling loose. I won't commit to one case, never have on any of my foldables. I cut the tab so it's not visible as well. I think it will be fine.
I used a Latercase on my Fold4, with no tape. It stays in place. The reason I stopped using it is that it doesn't play well with screen protectors. Whether film or glass, the case lifts protectors.
To avoid that, you can choose a protector that only covers the actual screen (illuminated) portion of your phone's front. Judging by this review, it looks like the Pixel Fold might avoid the issue entirely.
Not the case on this phone the protectors for the front aren't end to end. I have double protectors on the front in one of my upcoming videos and the case doesn't bother them at all.
I'm using the black case on my pixel fold. I would love to see more customise pixel fold cases.
Same I'm a cases poof but I prefer thin cases this phone is heavy. I also will mix and match half one case half another. Thanks for watching.

They both look nice. It is up to you if you are willing to pay more for the Latercase.
YYeah I think at this point you would be paying for the color but if you wait the aftermarket folks will have the different colors as well. You will also get the option for the cameras not be covered if you wait. Thanks for watching

I got the brown latercase, but for some reason using this case my pixel fold doesnt shut flat, especially the top left corner
I would ask if it is a defective case. All of my cases so far for this phone close all the way. That's too much to spend for that to happen. This is the most expensive case I've purchased. Thanks for watching
I'm back lol. So I like that the pitaka has mag sage do you think you could put a mag safe ring In between the phone and the latercase ? I like the red but want mag safe

Have you noticed any difference when opening the phone? I don't have a case on mine and have trouble getting a grip on the sides to open it.
Funny I haven't used it without a case... Let me try that right now.
Oddly there is a bit more grip but I'm sure that is due to the stainless steel being so slippery.
@@GadgetGoddess Coming from the Surface Duo plastic edges, that makes sense about the metal being slippery. Thankfully, I have a case on order.
This carbin fibor thing is over rated and they not worth the premium anymore.
Just a case... And as stated the black case was about half the price of the red. Most people in the comments preferred the black. I mention one that's about half the price of the black in a future video.
The phone is heavy so these lighter thinner phones are appreciated by many. I don't make the cases just videos. Thanks for the comment.
