100% agreed on Versace Crystal Noir. I've always described it as "soapy" and have never really seen it as dark/deep/spicy (the way it is often described). I have the edt and now I see it is probably an older formulation. Great information! I also love this one in the fall and find it's quite a compliment getter ❤ 😁. Great video!
That makes so much sense with Versace crystal noir edt, I have the newer formulation and I def smell the fig, violet, sandalwood, I don’t get any spicyness so when people would talk about it being spicy I would be so confused but this makes sense!! Hey Charlotte! Regarding Crystal Noir I believe Fragrantica has the notes wrong on the edt and the edp. I think they have mixed them up. I have both edp and edt formulations and both of them say the 77% volume and I also have tester bottles of both that interestingly enough have the exact same notes listed on the bottle. It’s weird. Many people get a coconut from this scent and I’m one of them, but others argue they don’t get it. I think it’s the ginger molecule that can come off as coconutty. It’s one of my favourite scents so I thoroughly explored it.
I noticed that the edp tester had the same notes on the bottle! It is still confusing 😂 That’s very interesting about the ginger molecule. If you don’t mind sharing, what are the differences to you between the edt and edp then? And do you have a preference?

As a guy who's into "unisex" fragrances, I've been wearing Lalique Le Parfum, Joop Le Bain, and Yves Rocher Noveau Genre. I only have a decant of Bois Dore unfortunately it's so hard to find a bottle so I'm just sniffing it through the sprayer if I feel like lol that fragrance is to die for so good

For Fall I love the way everything smells. For scents I like The Only One by Dolce and Gabbana. I like Libre Intense by YSL, Angel Muse the EDP by Mugler. Versace Crystal Noir the EDT, Miss Dior the 2018 or earlier edition. Many others as well. 💛
Do you have ameer Al oud intense? It is supposed to smell like By the Fireplace, only it’s so smoky, and I wonder if BTF is less Smokey. I haven’t smelled it. I guess what I’ve learned about myself is that I don’t like an overly smoky fragrance. I’ve had Angel for a while, and wasn’t sure how I felt about it for about as long as I’ve had it, but I’m really starting to enjoy it, so I’m excited to wear that one this Fall. I don’t have that one and I have t smelled it. It looks like people find it quite similar to By the Fireplace though, so I would definitely sample it first - I know when I find a fragrance too smokey I don’t end up wearing it either. Glad to hear you’re enjoying Angels’ Share more now. ❤️

Fall scents to me have gourmand elements- apple, spices, and a sweetness that I stay away from in the high heat of summer. Add in some woods and maybe a light smokiness and *chefs kiss* 😁 angels share, v canto mirabile, spicebomb, and spirituese double vanille are my top picks I'm looking most forward to wearing!
I was excited to see a video from you today Charlotte! It's coming into a very long season for cold weather fragrances here in Canada. (Hence most of my perfume collection qualifies 😆). The notes for fall for me are fragrances with woody notes, tobacco, vanilla, amber, spice and incense. I am also loving cherry, suede, tonka and some nutty almond notes. - Jenn

Re Vanilla Woods: I have the exact same feeling about pear in most perfumes… it sounds good but doesn’t smell very good, and definitely not fresh (Lotus pear by the 7 virtues is very fresh and sparkly though!). When I tested VW I found it boozy… like Licor 43… that smell lingered for a while, but when it dried down the scent was a warm and comforting vanilla

I have a 2019 batch of Crystal Noir! To me it's a soft, spicy, soapy very realistic coconut. I love it for all year round :) Also absolutely adore angel muse edt! I'm so pissed it's discontinued I feel like I have to spray it sparingly. :(

I love your picks! I briefly smelt Musc Noir Rose in stores and I thought it was very nice but I have to smell it again to make sure. I wanted to compare it with with the original Musc Noir to see which one to get myself. I remember Musc Noir Rose being quite a bit sweeter than the other one and sweeter than NR fragrances in general. I’ll have to get back to you when I smell them again!

J'aurai ajouté Olympea Intense pour ses notes d'ambre, Casablanca et Lira pour les notes de Caramel. Et quand je pense à l'automne je pense de suite à This IS Her de Zadig et Voltaire pour les notes de noisettes . They share similar vibes but they smell quite different to me. The main similarities are the warm spicy cinnamon to me. Bee is a bit boozy with a lot more vanilla and honey which makes it feel sweeter to me. Invite Only is way heavier on the amber and has a cherry tobbaco accord instead of booze.
Sometimes amber smells like straight up wood to me. I tried the iconic Dior Ambre Nuit and I swear it smelled exactly like cedar wood. Like I was sitting inside a sauna made out of cedar. (Not hot or sweaty just the wood). When you think about amber it is wood sap that’s petrified so…. Maybe REAL amber smells like wood? Idk.

I have a 2019 batch of Crystal Noir! To me it's a soft, spicy, soapy very realistic coconut. I love it for all year round :)

I love your picks! I briefly smelt Musc Noir Rose in stores and I thought it was very nice but I have to smell it again to make sure. I wanted to compare it with with the original Musc Noir to see which one to get myself. I remember Musc Noir Rose being quite a bit sweeter than the other one and sweeter than NR fragrances in general. I’ll have to get back to you when I smell them again!

J'aurai ajouté Olympea Intense pour ses notes d'ambre, Casablanca et Lira pour les notes de Caramel.
Et quand je pense à l'automne je pense de suite à This IS Her de Zadig et Voltaire pour les notes de noisettes .
De manière générale en automne les parfums que j'aime porter ont toujours de l'ambre et de la vanille ou du café ou de cerises aussi. Et plus on se rapproche de l'hivers plus les notes de canelles ou de jasmin m'appellent.

Do invite only and Bee smell the same? ❤
They share similar vibes but they smell quite different to me. The main similarities are the warm spicy cinnamon to me. Bee is a bit boozy with a lot more vanilla and honey which makes it feel sweeter to me. Invite Only is way heavier on the amber and has a cherry tobbaco accord instead of booze.

Sometimes amber smells like straight up wood to me. I tried the iconic Dior Ambre Nuit and I swear it smelled exactly like cedar wood. Like I was sitting inside a sauna made out of cedar. (Not hot or sweaty just the wood). When you think about amber it is wood sap that’s petrified so…. Maybe REAL amber smells like wood? Idk.

A lot of fragrances will be getting discontinued or reformulated due to new regulations. For instance rose fragrances will now have to be synthetic. Boo
