I read all these comments here and it gives me a headache. OK first off, I have 27 itp xtr's on my 08 700 grizz. they are very well designed tires for mud, clay, rocky and rutted hill climbs in the pouring rain and like most tires a good rider that knows how to man handle their quad with medium to low air pressure (3-5)psi can ripp through most obstacles with ease.i say 90% rider. I also have tatou 4s tracks, I only use them 4 dead winter deep snow use and are amazing for that application . I think even 4s or any tracks are best 4 mainly that. pretty much unstoppable. from 4 ft of powder to 35plus degree incline on top of 10ft of decent snow. that log incident is a classic reason I don't use them on normal riding, plus u constantly take the risk of damaging multiple front end parts. and for the person talking crap about how the grizzly looks... your on crack. my yamaha with real tree camo has got endless good comments on the trail through the years by all types even with newer bad boy quads that are insane. sorry just tired of the "vs" stuff. I've seen guys on old sport quads do absolutely incredible things that I wouldn't dare attempt 4 high diff locked blastin. brokin bones aren't on my list of fun. I like anyone that puts on atv vids 100%. just gets old reading comment warriors put in their bias 2 cents. this is my first comment ever and using my gf youtube account logged in and I don't care. keep riding and less judging.
I used to have a flathead 4 cly jeep with directional tires .. it would put all these machines to shame .. i found it still exists just like the day i sold it. In a barn .. maybe he will sell it back to me hes old now im not far behind . Cant believe he bought it barned it and never touched it again .. love to find my old jeep in that barn and brush away the old debree like the rush song red Barchetta
I have always loved the idea of having tracks, but never really thought about the stuff that could easily break them, like logs. However, at least your buddy with the 6x6 can haul plenty of wood for ya in the dump bed
just need some speed! ive bounced over way bigger logs on my sportsman 450. tracks are awesome but apparently logs are their worst enemy lol good video man subcribed !
i used to have a 98 sportsman 500 6x6. wheels on the front tracks on the back. damn thin was almost unstoppable without em, even more with em. buuuut after the 3rd axle i had to swap i took the tracks off... great concept, bad execution..
these are insanely entry level machines....an outlander would have made that log look like a joke.....not enough clearance and zero power......interesting seeing how easy it was defeating the track kit with an elevated log......seriously amazing and odd test but very cool...
every time i see tracks for sale always about $4000 US dollars. that guy on the 6x6 really doesn't try to hard does he its like if he didnt make it the first run he quits lol
A) this it a sportsman 570 vs a grizzly 700 or 750 B) the tires on the sportsman are not mud tires Make the same comparison with a can am 1000cc 6X6 and I bet you'll have a different outcome
I have a 6x6 with better tires than the one on this video and mine is unstoppable. i would have done everything on this video. he just needs better tires. tracks are ok but i prefer 6x6 with better tires...
my 2004 sportsman could get over that log just fine ive gone over bigger logs than that with my fourwheeler and tracks are only good for the amphibias argos and mudd oxs
Those must be those stupid Mudlite's , They suck in mud ,Decent for trail riding but no good in mud....The swamplite works a lot better in mud in my opinion
chris f Chris those are 589's they aren't quite silverbacks when the mud gets to the point that tires basically need to be paddles they run into problems

6X6: Back up and double your effort with well timed acceleration.
Tracks: "Don't go in reverse at all or you'll break shit!"
I've always wondered why they don't put more of an approach angle on ATV tracks so they can go up and over obstacles like logs
Less contact area for snow
I have always loved the idea of having tracks, but never really thought about the stuff that could easily break them, like logs. However, at least your buddy with the 6x6 can haul plenty of wood for ya in the dump bed
I think the Argo 8 wheeler with tracks would be your best bet. Logs? no problem. Mud? no problem. Lakes? no problem
but it tops of at 10 mph so it would be left behind and is a lot more expensive
at least they can carry 800+ pounds in the cargo box
...giving up yet?... Couldn't get over that log either could ya.. haha
Jim creek has cleaned up so much since then, now sutton is the new jim creek.
Man that sucks having those tracks hung up stratelling (spelling) that log. Wonder if studs would possibly help in grabbing holding
very good video, tnx for shearing with us ;)
mud and snow i want tracks
logs and deep ruts i want tires
each has their own special place
just need some speed! ive bounced over way bigger logs on my sportsman 450. tracks are awesome but apparently logs are their worst enemy lol good video man subcribed !
fantastic, how much did those track cost ya?
so what i get from this is the tracks are more fragile hmmmmm
i used to have a 98 sportsman 500 6x6. wheels on the front tracks on the back. damn thin was almost unstoppable without em, even more with em. buuuut after the 3rd axle i had to swap i took the tracks off... great concept, bad execution..
Ya I'd take the 6x6
My Argo would pull em both
HA HA
The on-demand system does not even lock when he goes over the log.
Is the guy on tracks "Givin up yet"? On the logs. Haha. The maint. on tracks must be insane.
6x6 on 27"itps for the win
Nobody: Dude behind the camera: no no no no , hold on hold on , no no no no , hold on hold on , no no no no no no no no no
tracks are usually about 5,000 grand starting out
hah "maybe if u had tracks u can get off that log" lol yet the grizzly with the tracks cant even get on the log never mind over it haha... useless
Talked all that shit about not having tracks lol
Wheels on front tracks on back
Niezły.
takie układy to ja lubię
I bet if you had tracks you'd go right over that log LOL!!! I bet you regret that
Tracks are the biggest waste of several thousand bucks.
6x6 rules
Not hating on tires but tracks are better cause of the ground clearance
i think my 3 wheeler coulda made it over that log
Any regular 2 wheel drive quad would bounce right over that log and if it wouldn't I could lift it over by myself.
No quad will go over an obstacle if it’s sitting in the frame
these are insanely entry level machines....an outlander would have made that log look like a joke.....not enough clearance and zero power......interesting seeing how easy it was defeating the track kit with an elevated log......seriously amazing and odd test but very cool...
tracks lol try in the swamp like black mud in timmins on Canada.... theirs no bottom
every time i see tracks for sale always about $4000 US dollars. that guy on the 6x6 really doesn't try to hard does he its like if he didnt make it the first run he quits lol
put tracks on the big boss.
Put tracks on the Polaris and see what happens. And you would still have $2k in the bank.
A) this it a sportsman 570 vs a grizzly 700 or 750
B) the tires on the sportsman are not mud tires
Make the same comparison with a can am 1000cc 6X6 and I bet you'll have a different outcome
tracks are 2000 whaat are you smoking
His tracks need to be adjusted that`s why he could not get over the loge
6x6 wins
I hated my old big boss , it wouldn’t do anything a 4x4 would not do.
I have a 6x6 with better tires than the one on this video and mine is unstoppable. i would have done everything on this video. he just needs better tires. tracks are ok but i prefer 6x6 with better tires...

+lionel2768 If you like 6x6 check out ostacruiser, tracks on the grizzly see to be very flimsy
Which 6x6 do you have? Any problems with it?
2.22 hahaha highcenterd
What a load of shit that 6x6 is looks a heavy old beast
I'd take tracks
Trax without a doubt is best but who can afford them....
it has nothing to do with the belt or wheels, this case has to do with the height of the machine, stupid test
The grizzly will beat the Polaris even without tracks!!
6x6 is better
Those must be those stupid Mudlite's , They suck in mud ,Decent for trail riding but no good in mud....The swamplite works a lot better in mud in my opinion
chris f Chris those are 589's they aren't quite silverbacks when the mud gets to the point that tires basically need to be paddles they run into problems
Itp's are some BULL SHIT tires atleast [ut 27 outlaws.
Tracks suck.
get a can am
That's why tracks suck.
Yamaha is still the uggliest atv ever made..
