When I was in high school Allen was just a blip on the map, and look at it now! Where I live now, the school's band has about 30 members, and three of them are cheerleaders who drop their pompoms to march in their cheerleading outfits. Sorta like Allen once was, lol!
@NicosucksClan And because their band director, now fine arts director, is an amazing recruiter who draws kids into band and gets them to stay with band. He is heralded as one of the greats in this field and when he speaks about recruitment and retention it's normally standing room only.
Allen eagles marching band is the best! makes me proud to have graduated from there. Now they are getting a new football stadium and this band can fill it with beautiful music
@TheRascal24 I'm not sure what you're asking. We only played one piece, 'Carmen'. It's split up into three sections called movements. I think I answered your question. Haha!
@xxKITTYKILLLUHxx That year there were close to 610. This year there are around 670. Our full band rehearsals are very slow, haha. Sometimes they can get even more bogged down because of a few people that just don't care. That's the most annoying part about everyone that wants to march being able to. But, generally speaking our rehearsals aren't that much different from any other band. Also, student leadership is key to being able to control all those people. :D Hope that answered your questions
@JohnSanchezBT Yup, i was in the top band my sophomore year when i was a tenor, I've been playing Bass trombone for about 5-6 months now. Still in the top band ;)
@JohnSanchezBT Ive learned all of it, just not in-tempo yet. My favorite is the 6 flat one, it's tricky to learn, but when u know it, its fun to play. :P
@JohnSanchezBT Yeah, you keep up the good work too :). Uhh idk, my band directors kept on telling me I was playing too loud, lol. You are still in a school in Texas right?
damn I know this amazing video of a marching band....got the picture in mind, but i don't know the name of the video here on youtube anymore........also this big....and there is this amazing bass section (note) at 3 minutes something I believe....anyone got a clue? xD
One question? Why not do selective? I mean you guys can sound cleaner and look cleaner if you marching lets see under around 300 kids? I like big bands and all but this is too much for a competitive marching band.
Ok yeah, impressive, but come on Allen.. You have the money, build another school. With this many people on the field the marching just looks sloppy. Love the sound though

@JohnSanchezBT Nope, Junior. Cool that your a freshmen and u got a spot with a big band. Good job. :)
It's real fun being In a huge band but more ppl means more runthroughs and do overs so there are benefits and disadvantages :)
How many kids are in the this
