I’m 20 weeks pregnant, everything makes me cry. The thought of all the projects you still have to do, sanding the floors inserting the windows making the kitchen cabs- even tho I find u a compete inspiration and amazing, just thinking of having to use so much energy, even just watching someone else use that much energy, Bc I have 0 energy, made me cry so hard this morning. Just thinking about you. But then I started laughing so hard how ridiculous I am

I laughed every time you blew off painting those windows because when we moved into our old house every window needed to be stripped and painted so I get it girl. It takes forever!
But being pregnant is also suuuuch a hard job, i can't even imagine. You go through so much and are growing a human inside of you! I mean, what the heck. It's like building a house but it's a human being! I am just in awe and you going through all these emotions and hormones must be tough! So kudos to you and all the fellow preggos, you're doing amazing!

Super Typhoon hit my area this past week. I only got internet back recently. My mom's house is wrecked 🥺 and many lives were lost here. Have been hard times for us this week here in the Philippines. My mom had brain seizures several years ago, and over time lost language etc. I desperately miss talking and laughing with her. I smile and cry all the time, watching MaCenna and her mama. This may sound weird, but it's almost therapy or even a ministry to some of us out here, so THANK YOU!

Ok…I’m from Texas close to Louisiana and that green cookbook was my Bible…there’s a recipe in there for Crawfish Bisque…you can substitute shrimp if you want to add Nd I have. It’s my centerpiece Christmas dish and everyone goes crazy over it. What is not to like…crawfish balls deep fried and added to a dark roux with tomatoes along with extra crawfish (or shrimp if you make it with shrimp). The seasonings are what take it over the top…unbelievably good the leftovers are even better. It’ll take you all day and every dish in the kitchen but SO worth it.
Can you put the recipe here?🤗😩 I would love a basic bisque recipe but the rest of your description sounds awesome!

Gumbo is such an easy and crowd friendly meal to make. It seems daunting but you can either make a homemade roux or buy a store bought one (H‑E‑B carries jarred roux that’s pretty good). And the rest is just chopped up vegetables and meat thrown into a pot for 2-3 hours, super easy!
I’m so glad you mentioned how it takes you time to look at everything when you thrift. I always felt something was wrong with me because I was so slow😆

Live crawfish is actually available in certain places, when it is usually not available this time of year. This is because we haven't had a frost this year, and unusual warm weather. Suppose to be 70 or 80 on Christmas.

I know you keep saying there will be a pop-up shop in LA, but why not launch a website like Lone Fox has, where you source things from other artists, you can include your mom's art (so she doesn't have to pay Etsy fees) and you can put up some thrifted finds for everyone to shop?

My mom's side of the family is Cajun and I absolutely remember flipping through that Tony Chachere cookbook as kid while my mom made gumbo, jambalaya, or whatever! We still have it.

I heard a lot of youtubers do this idea where, instead of posting everyday for 24 days of vlogmas, they post every other day and call it, "The 12 days of Vlogmas" Just an idea to maybe help in the balancing of vlogs and renovation videos!! Love you!!
Take your time! Relax and don't be in a hurry to have the house done. That calls for more miscalculation and mistakes to be made. To think to have the house done when it doesn't even have drywall , finished and electrical yet in less than 6 weeks isn't realistic. You want things to be done right and that just take many more months. I am loving watching your journey and I know it's going to be beautiful but there's a lot of work to be completed here before you can live in this home and if you plan on doing a lot of the interior work yourselves without a big crew it will take even longer.

About that carriage...have you ever seen a chateau or grand house with a magnificent foyer that you could fit a towering Christmas tree in, and the sweeping staircase comes down the side of a wall rather than the center of the room? I've seen a foyer or two decorated with a huge sleigh and tree with gifts spilling out...why not a carriage [if you're into that sort of thing]? It could be an all year thing, or go into storage [I'm sure a place that big would have an outbuilding for storage]. Or, if it's serviceable do carriage rides for weddings or Valentine's Day or whatever...
You just bring so much joy to your followers. I love how genuine and positive you always are, and that you have such a wholesome persona. So incredibly refreshing! Have a wonderful time with family this Christmas season, and get the rest you deserve!

I was in Louisiana over the weekend and my mom made crawfish etouffee! They definitely have crawfish. If you have a rouses near your air bnb they usually have them :)
While I know a lot of people like watching you renovate your home, I subscribed to your channels to watch the thrifting and diys. I really enjoy watching you thrift shop and I miss your decor diys. I usually skip over when you're at your house. Will be glad when you're done, and maybe go back to your weekly crafting.

Crawfish etouffee was my favorite dish when I was in Louisiana helping with flood relief a few years back. You are making me want to go asap just to eat all the food! When I moved away from Louisiana the food everywhere else didn't have ANY flavor. It was so sad. I love Louisiana food!!!
I used to go to New Orleans frequently for work. The office was not far from the French quarter. Every trip, over the weekend, I'd spend 1 day doing something new each trip (zoo, jazz festival, plantation tours, etc.), and 1 day in the quarter.
I always started at Cafe du Monde having beignets and chicory coffee. Mmmm!! 😋
I tried new dishes and places every trip. My favorite foods were jambalaya and crawfish boil.
Now I'm hungry for it!! 😉🤪

I think it’s beneficial to treat vlogmas as the last content of the year. So on the main channel you would do an “end of year wrap up” then you would continue the day to day happenings of your days leading up to Christmas. I always appreciate how diligent your executions of these videos are. The hard work was well worth it ❤️🥰👏🏽

Crawfish Etouffee is super easy ❤️ and most Louisiana grocery stores sell frozen tails. Just make sure to find the local ones vs from Asia. We lived there for 10 years and I loved to make that. Lots of butter 😉
