Okay so uhhh imma explain the lore of this game or smth. That black substance here is called ICHOR. On that other comment it said that ichor makes toons into twisteds, many other people in the community saw that it was also their BLOOD (considering when you die/get hit by a twisted you see that same black substance release from your character) so a theory that I know is that when a toon gets obsessed over something they love or something they get mad of, they probably start going INSANE. So when Dandy started doing the ichor experiments, it made them go feral. For example Teagan (a toon not present in this fan game) got obsessed over tapes (an in-game currency) to the point that when she attacks you she steals your tapes or how Gigi (another toon not present here), gets obsessed on collecting items for her collection. For the thing of "getting mad of" a good example of this is Shelly where she canonically is the most forgotten main toon ever! Speaking of main toons, they are just main characters of the show. All of them are in this fangame, the only one not a main is Cosmo (aka the person you're playing as). Speaking of toons, there's about 15 of them (this will change eventually because the game is still in Alpha), from the bubble named Poppy to the mirror that has a big ego named Glisten. Let's go back to the twisteds, some people theorized that Pebble (that rock dog) was the first twisted, with that info people think that Pebble caused A LOT of damage to the other toons like how twisted Shelly has her bottom half replaced by ichor shaped like dinosaur legs or how twisted Vee's literally got dismantled, like her chest was separated form her bottom half then her legs got cut into even more smaller pieces and the only thing keeping her together, ICHOR.
