Showing the youngsters how it's done @legendtrickgym . It's crazy to think that basically everyone one that pre-battle session were 10+ years younger than me. Just a couple exeptions. Tricking is definitely a young man's sport. Without conditioning my body hard I would have quit this long time ago already.
Went through some of my old video's (2016 and 2017) comments here and it's crazy to see how all my most loyal and eager commenters from that time have quit tricking a ling time ago and unfollowed me eventually. This tells something about how hard this sport is for the average person in long term. We often mostly see the best here on IG posting crazy stuff and probably think that there is something wrong with us because we can't do the craziest stuff. In fact I shouldn't write that in "we" form because I am probably also part of the top 1% even though I am so much worse at many power twisting moves than many others in the top 1%.
The thing is that we often have the wrong idea what the level of the average tricker actually is. It is way lower than most of us think based on what we actually see here. This all just as my observations as a long time tricker and a tricking teacher both online and in real life.
Well that became a long ass text 🫢😄

Very true, I think that for all Sports you have to really want it to become good at it. But I think with tricking it's even more so. Because as an outside observer (I do freerunning and lifting) it seems like a lot of the top trickers have worked through very extreme knee or hip injury's which would make most people quit whatever sports they do. And all Sports have a few of these people who've worked through tough injurys but it seems like in tricking the only ones who make it are the ones willing to work through something like that AND THEN get back to their peak and even beyond that.

@@stealthkillertoxic4090 a lot of the very best trickers are younger than 20 yo or at least they got very good when they were in their teens. There are some expections but this is what I have observed to be the case most of the time. Not many people with bad knee injuries have been able to make a comeback. I have probably one of the most damaged right knee in whole of tricking with one ACL reconstruction, MCL tear recovery, 2 meniscus surgeries and a plica syndrome in it. Still going strong but I can guarantee that it is way less easy to push my tricking with these injuries in my history.
