"This song is very near and dear to my heart," Leach explains. "I wanted the listener to feel the urgency, the heaviness of the topic as well as a possible connection. Many people suffer from mental illness in one form or another. I want nothing more than for people to feel like they are not alone in this struggle. There is always someone there to help, to listen, and to be there for you. Don't lose hope and don’t let your brokenness consume you. Broken can be fixed, or at the very least, maintained. No one is alone in this fight."
Regarding the decision to work with Hope for the Day, Leach says, "I personally chose Hope for the Day to be the organization we partner with for this song. I admire their tireless efforts to spread mental awareness and suicide prevention. The phrase and the hashtag #ItsOkNotToBeOk is a simple yet powerful statement. I think it coincides with #IamBrokenToo perfectly! Johnny Boucher and his organization are out spreading the powerful message of connectivity and solidarity in this fight for understanding mental health issues. I'm honored to have them on our team for this song and this movement to continue to raise awareness and keep the conversation going for mental health issues."

This song literally saved me from committing suicide this April. I fell off the wagon HARD and was trying to overdose. A friend sent me this video, along with Strength of the Mind and In Due Time. Even though I've heard them a million times, Jesse's lyrics pulled me from the edge.
I'm gratefully sober again, and will gladly reopen my wounds to help the next guy that's suffering. We are broken too.

I’ve been broken , lost my father 6 years ago. I was 23 and just couldn’t look at the world the same , lost friends along the way but recently I’ve started to feel the change. Love killswitch they’ve been beside me the whole way and this just helps me further. Don’t be afraid to reach out talk , if I could of told my younger self that 6 years ago I’d of helped myself a lot sooner. Look after yourselfs , and each-other see someone struggling reach out and talk, it’s easier than you think 💭 much love peeps
Glad to hear it's been starting to change, bands like KSE, and a lot others in the metal scene, have a way of being there for you as a friend whenever you need it, it's truly quite magical when you think about it.
Bands like killswitch, staind, and Boston all make me feel at home because they actually came from my home state Massachusetts.
I can relate to feeling broken. I lost my grandma last January, 3 years earlier, I lost my older sister to a drug overdose (a heroin and methamphetamine combo) I'm here if you need to talk! Stay strong!
I too lost my parents at 23. Both to suicide. I'm 32. Since then I've been diagnosed with PTSD and already was bipolar and manic depressive. Days never get easier as I have pushed everyone away. Relationships fail every time because of feeling abandoned and I end up causing further abandonment by assuming it's going to happen over and over. I am broken too. Love you all.

I used to be one of those stuck up KSE fans who only wanted Howard to be the vocalist. I’m so glad I’ve matured because man both Howard and Jesse are just insanely talented and their music has so much meaning and emotion. I truly love this band.

A supervisor of mine committed suicide last weekend. His suicide re-opened some old wounds that have gone unresolved. I heard this song before, but after his death, it means so much more to me.
Watch them all. If they 'just don't get it' they aren't trying to get it. My family used to like to watch me wallow in self-pity. They enjoyed it. I was blind to that for years. If you've pushed and pushed trying to get people to 'listen to you' maybe they aren't interested in hearing you at all. Take care of yourself.

I asked out The woman I knew and loved for a long time, and she asked if could bring another guy along to the date, then basically forget I was at the date and just kept talking to the other guy, made me feel like crap... After that date I was broken... Listened too all the killswitch engage to not fall back into my addictions to numb the pain, the songs helped me through the hurt and pain and kept me going

this is what i needed, it's been a though time for myself, being on the verge of losing my job, having too many issues to handle, at the point that i felt like i was encircled on many problems, and hearing this song helps me to fight again, thanks KSE for being for all of us.
