When a Chinese medicine for Covid-19 treatment was approved in all of China's hospitals, Singapore took no hint and disregarded it. TCM, even the sale of Chinese medicine was prohibited. I'm not pro-CPP or anything, but I strongly believe this mindset of Western medicine = miracle needs to stop!

I heard from the sg WA news that as of today. The barber shops are also allowed to be open today. Don't you think cutting hair is requires close contact with the next patients? So by heavy regulating and stopping the TCM to practice the other treatments methods is poor judgement and show of bias from the committee. Because if the members of the committee do not use TCM therapy, they do not care if other Singaporeans, or older generation who needs these treatments. And these poor Singaporean could be suffering from body pains now because of these rigid restrictions. Please be more gracious, understanding, considerate and quickly lift up these restrictions for TCM for our people. having said that, an analysing of the Chinese system of combining both TCM and western medical practices to help curb the Covid19 show great results. We as a multi culture society should embrace the Good practices and not blindly tied down by Western doctrines. As it is, even if it is not from a scientific stand point, at the very least, we should allowed the flexibility for people to use our own judgement to choose the type of medical help they are most comfortable in and not be restricted by mere judgement of personal preferences and choices of some collectives of western educated task force committee within the government body. I had rashes, and TCM cured me twice, once about 10 years ago, now again recently. The thing is, you need to find a good, experienced person, the more years of practice the better. Next, the range of herbs need to be available. That is why I go only to 中华医院 at Toa Payoh, there, both criteria I mentioned above are met. There also less expensive than privatised TCM shops.
Maybe you should do yourself a favour and educate yourself before making such ignorant comments. You said TCM does not work, but in which area or do you mean TCM does not work at all? TCM does work and its effectiveness rises especially in conjunction with other treatments, in addition side effects are kept to a minimal when taking TCM herbs. Even WHO recognises TCM as a legitimate alternative treatment method. The more important thing is that TCM does help to strengthen the body and boost immunity which is important in times like this.
All these dumb comments don’t realise that the herbs you use in TCM are not unique to TCM. It's well documented that herbs (if you eat the right one and not just anyone of course) have a positive medical effect. But, it's never going to be as effective as 'white pills', since it's not the herb itself but a chemical inside that has a medical effect. Many 'white pills' were developed by extracting the active chemical from herbs. The drawback of herbs is that they might also contain OTHER chemicals which can conflict with each other if you eat several medicines. Western medicine is proven with years of research and supported by data.
TCM outlets? Asked yourself who usually manned the shops? It is mostly the elderly. Who are the customers? Mostly the elderly. Do you want the elderly who are more at risk of the virus to go out to shop? Who are more at risk ? Customers going out to buy bbT and cakes for customers buying the TCM items? These are factors to consider before opening up the retail sectors. Care about the elderly constituents. They may not get the tonic now but at least they are safe by not going out from their home.

Only after did we visit a TCM practitioner and his meds cured me. My mum is also a beneficiary of TCM with her serious back injury. Oh, I have no medical degree, only my life to prove the effectiveness of TCM !!!

Ive been sick-free for a long time. Despite that, i felt some stuff like cupping is ridiculous. But now, Im using cupping to treat my Eczema. Western drs told me to use steroids and once I stop using, it comes back so its quite useless. Western medicine is highly limited.
