    So sad we have lost so many of the original lineup. RIP Bruce Crump, Riff West, Duane Roland, and Danny Joe Brown - the greatest southern rock singer that there will ever be! All these guys were some stellar players/performers. I grew up in South Florida and got to see them live a number of times. I have to say these guys were really down to earth guys and were very approachable. Hail to the Classic Hatchet!!

    I am so sorry to say that we've lost, yet another one of our Molly Hatchet Brothers. My friend Riff West passed away in his sleep from complications he sustained in a motor vehicle accident just over a year ago. God bless Riff's partner Terri Stewart as she picks up the pieces of this tremendous loss. Rest in Peace Brother Riff, Brother Duane, Brother Danny Joe and alll of our brothers and sisters who have wen on before up. You are very much loved and missed by all who were touched by your presence.

      I have to say, it's nice to know these things. Like Riff West passing on Riff replaced that other bass player back in the late 70's, as I recall.And I so much more enjoyed Riff on bass on Molly Hatchet Double Trouble Live, 1984. He was just awesome.And w/Duane Roland and Dave Hlubek sharing lead and rhythm guitars, the band was just awesome. And, no ego's, either. They had respect for each other. But, Riff passing. I can't keep up on all these guys. I'll have to look him up on wikipedia. Not that this is so important, but I get goosebumps every time I hear that guy at the beginning of the recording of Double Trouble Live say: Won't you please welcome Jacksonville, Florida. Epic recording artists, Molly Hatchet. Especially when it's cranked up loud. O.K. That's all I have to say

    I appreciate Jimmy Farrar gettin' out there and doing it. I saw him do this one live MANY times in the early 80's...he can lay as much claim to the Molly Atchet

    Gator Country was real Hatchet than recent Hatchet, Bobby Ingram must realise destroying Hatchet legacy.

    To those who are critiquing Jimmy and think you can speak for Danny Joe, you don't have a clue. Jimmy is and was a great singer. He's definitely better than that scab that's singing in the Bobby Hatchet band now. Also, I'll be selling the bass Riff is playing in this video on eBay soon.

      Saw Molly Hatchet in November 2018. Or Bobby Hatchet as you said. The singer now is bad. Shameful what they are doing

    Isn’t it crazy how Gator Country is (was) the remainder of the real Molly Hatchet... but the current “Molly Hatchet” was (is) a stolen cover of the originals? Bobby Ingram might be one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, but that was a rotten stunt he pulled.

    Dude's singing from his throat, instead of his gnads, in total contrast to Danny Joe. I really did try to embrace this lineup....I really did 🙄

    I didn’t realize Rush Limbaugh sang.It blows my mind that all but one original member has passed away. Most in their early 50’s. Way too young.

    Wow. That was aweful. :( Duane was way past his prime and so was Jimmy. And yes, I have the right to say that as a lifelong Hatchet fan and someone who has seen them in concert 15 times.

      Yeah. Dave Hlubek soloed on this tune in MH. Besides that, Duane did sound out of practice. In MH, he was the smoothest player out of the 3. You could hear the Eric Clapton influence in his playing during the MH days.

      I'm betting this was one of the first times Duane played the solo for this song.

    With the passing of Banner Thomas and Dave Hlubek, no original members are still living. Molly Hatchet is dead. The so called Molly Hatchet that still plays tours is nothing more than a tribute band.

    • @DavidSmith-gr4cu
      @DavidSmith-gr4cu 6 лет назад

      Hornadayfan I wouldn't even call them that. If I had the money I'd buy the name and the rights to all the songs and put an injunction on that fat bastard to keep him from ever playing Molly Hatchet again

    I like the idea, BUT; Jimmy's voice is gone man, feeble attempt, don't think Danny Joe would approve! Just my opinion.
