+ heated bed (limited to 60'C is plenty for clean PLA-prints, and safe-to-touch at the same time) and auto-leveling on the bed would make it truly fun to use for kids :)
the fun part is as the bed is so small a heated bed is not needed and makes things a lot simpler. i will look into auto leveling next . but once set the level is not changed much .

never seen a motion system like this!! looks interesting for sure!!
this is called a deltesian mechanism . Kind of worse of both worlds but yet works well .
