Just got the amp in last month. It’s not only Retro looking it’s an amazing sounding amp. Just tracked it yesterday with a Martin HD28E as well as the Martin separately with ribbon mics. Great amp and great review and playing. Thnks for the post.

Nice amp, the Martin seems to come alive and vibrant.

Hey Empire, thanks for posting this, have been in your excellent Mt Lebanon store. A buddy of mine is in love with his Circa '74 amp and of course it's beautiful. There will always be limitations judging audio online, but I strongly prefer the Taylor w/ES-2 to the Martin w/Anthem in this demo--and I'm a Martin guy. Different people like different things (like amps v. PAs) and I hope you sell a ton of them.

Sounds real nice. How would this compare to a Bose L1 compaq with the Tonematch 8s?

WOW,,, it is EXPENSIVE,,, The Fishman Loudbox Mini is by far the greatest acoustic guitar amp on the planet and it cost about 1/4 as much as this amp..

What are you doing, copying and pasting this comment to every video about the Taylor amp? Do you work for Fishman? Own stock? Or maybe you just bought a Fishman and want to make yourself feel better by making negative comments about this amp?

Hands down the Martin guitars sound better. What does a K&K pure Mini sound like? What would the vocal sound like with an Ear Trumpet Louise? Thanks for showing the settings. How does this compare to similar priced acoustic amps? Thanks Joe

Oh man. I think it sounds kinda quacky and brittle.

@gabrielobrien21 possibly, but I have different Taylor tonewoods that play fine without amplification. I like my 9-string Taylor, the 816ce Builders Edition, the Grand Theaters, LTDs, and 12-frets. Acoustically. How many Taylor's compared to Martin's do I own? That I'll save for a Taylor Primetime! Thanks, Gabe.

How much does the circa 74 amp weigh?

Ok. I went to the store in person and they weighed the amp for me. The amp weighs 36lbs.

I don’t understand the love the Anthem gets. To be fair, I don’t have real life experience with that pickup, but all the videos are good or maybe very good tonally (listening with great cans). The ES2 sure gets a lot of scrutiny and even hate, but why? You just have to know how to maximize them and get them EQd properly. The plugged in sound of the Taylor over the Martin in this sampling- by far! 😂

Great demonstration. I’m definitely a Taylor guy, and the amp sounds great, but I can’t (for the life of me) understand them listing this at that price point, and then having this manufactured in China instead of building this in Tecate or El Cajon.
I do think the eventuality will be that these will be built in Tecate, and that’s likeliest to be when I’d purchase one.

This sounds lousy, just like most of these so call acoustic guitar amps . Most are not worth a dime and I encourage not to fall for these sales people , buyer beware .
