- In this lesson Phoebe learns about what is safe distance when following another car, there are two reasons why you should always keep a safe distance between yourself and the car in front. The first is safety, if the car was to brake sharply you may not have enough time to react and may cause an accident, the second is a Learner Driver if you do not keep a safe distance between the your car and the car in front, this would be considered a serious Fault. Watch this video as Pin covers safe Following distance and also discusses the 2 second rule

Just passed my theory test today, funny how your videos helped with both my theory AND my driving lessons. Thanks Pin! I really respect your knowledge and what you're doing with this channel.
Congrats :) was it easier or harder than you expected?
Thanks bro. I'd say it was a lot easier because I practiced using an app like my life depended on it. @@GGMattt
Passed my test last week Pin. Been watching for about 2 years and watched your course, I was independently driving on busy roads at just 6 hours. Thank you for your videos and mock tests, very insightful and entertaining and funny keep it up
Thanks so much for all your videos, passed my driving test today and they've helped my confidence with driving especially when I couldn't get an instructor straight away ❤
As a recent full licence holder I try to be proactive with all of my safety from my lessons and theory(and why I'm still watching lesson videos 😄), I don't do this that often but I do regularly remind myself when driving at speeds above 30 and count markers. At 30mph I usually leave about a car and a half just to be, I hate tailgaters 😮💨 so I'm not going to become one!
Thanks to your videos I passed my driving test yesterday 😅, really appreciated brother
First video im watching post-exam-pass :)
This is probably the easiest topic in driving, she was brilliant.
I used to leave the 2 seconds gap in my daily driving after passing the test but then cars would get in the gap and it was so stressful so now I leave a bit less than 2 seconds and it works mostly of the time (in the test and before passing the test, DON'T forget the 2 seconds gap haha)
Your videos helped me pass. Iv had a full driving licence for my motorcycle for 9 years but iv just passed my car test so does that mean I'm back to if I get 6 points in 2yrs I have to do my test again
My driving test is tomorrow wish me luck!
Likewise goodluck !:D
Same! Good luck!
Passed ! 🎉

Will we get to see more of Josh's driving lessons?
Probably not until end of the year if he is still interested. Josh commented on a video last year that he's leaving learning to drive behind atm as he's concentrating on his studies.
I have a feeling you haven't got away with those traffic lights at 5:29? I can see those yellow box cameras
I was bored and done some calculations:
I assume the video is in 60fps (Frames Per Second)
I got the exact frame the lights turn red, and then counted the frames 1 by 1 until the red light was shown.
There were ~197 frames from their initial position to the time they crossed the stop line.
197/60=3.28 Seconds.
They crossed the stop line around 17 frames (0.28) seconds after the red light was there.
oops
@@wiiboxing7925amber means stop which and during those 3 seconds with the speed at 5:26 had plenty time to stop for the red light and traveling uphill as well
yeah thats true@@suzukidaniel1396
Ever do that 4 second gap in London….
The Van that was stopped at the green lights was probably waiting to make sure that he was able to go all the Way across because of the cue of cars There were in the crossing in front of him they were cuing up a bit?
Are you available in Gloucester
Hi Pin, what happened on Sunday? No upload?
Hi i was thinking of getting your brand shoes is there any difference between man and woman shoes except size? And also are they really better than standard shoes eg airforce 1? I heard that af1’s have a thick sole so bad control for pedals but heard good things about your shoe, let me know if u can ❤
On the Black Country route a lorry was tailgating the cars in front the cars all braked then the lorry swerved into the closed lane to avoid hitting the cars
i tried booking and looking at the DVSA website today to book a uk driving test
they keep giving me a error 15
Even though i know i can only book Monday 6 am correct ?
Why is this ?
i do feel as everything is against me in passing my uk driving test in a way
@@BOSS_61 i only have a budget of £62 for a test mate
i live in LONDON, a very expensive city
i repeat a very expensive city

Why is the website not working as it should ?

The challenge for some can be adapting to higher speed limits. If your early lessons are in 30mph zones, you can get to equate 2 seconds with a fixed distance. But then take that to 70mph zone and there's a risk of that distance being too low, particularly if there's a relative scarecity of fixed points to measure against. Even if you think you've adapted, it can dip to around 1.5 seconds quite easily.
Many changes

"Only a fool breaks the two second rule"
…did she just hit a red light at the start?! 🫠
Yes and there is a camera too
2 seconds in the dry is absolutely dangerous, as you can never tell last time a person went to specsavers!! like one night had a recovery vehicle light up like a christmas tree easily see he was stationary in the slow lane of a 50 mph carriageway about 1000 feet ahead, and had a pineapple drive at 40 mph all the way to 50 feet from the recovery vehicle slam it's anchor on fully then change lanes. I could see that I couldn't pass the vehicle in the left hand lane due to traffic infront doing around the same speed which is fair enough you don't want to speed passed a recovery vehicle. but if I hadn't left enough gap there would have been an accident and that was leaving a 3 second gap between myself and the car in the left lane. so teaching a learner a safe gap of 2 seconds is wrong, it should be teaching them to stay further than that.
Hopefully she passed her theory and can pass by August time 😊
