Did you say the heel is a little bit Marmite? Can you help a clueless chap across the pond … ? [looked it up, it means love it or hate it … here in Chicago we would say it’s a bit Malort; I love Marmite and Malort so I am going to give these a shot]
only 1.5 downsizes, interesting. Adam ondra does 4 whole euro sizes(44 street size, 40 solutions)on this specific shoe. I think most people struggling to get the right heel fit on this model don't understand what a real aggressive downsize actually is.

do they hurt at 1.5 downsize?
YES! I definitely had to ice my feet after, and use bandaids for the blisters.
But, these shoes are going to hurt because they’re a specialty shoe.
