Hi vee!! If you want to say 'I have' you have to say 'tengo' so if you want to say ''I am 23 years old" you must say "tengo 23 años" I looooved this video it was really fun to watch
Love this so much!! You are both doing a good job for beginners. Someone has already pointed out that “I have” is tengo not tiene (that is “you have {formal you} or he/she/it has). Also, most people who are quite familiar with one another would not offen say the whole ¡Hola! Buenas Tardes part. They would more likely say, “¡Hola mi amor, ¿qué tal?” Or ¿“Cómo estás?” Good evening and goodnight are often more formal though not always ignored. It is more common to say “Buenas Noches,” when one is leaving somewhere. Kind of like saying, “Goodnight”. As it becomes more familiar to you you will pick up more of the differences between learned Spanish and familiar Spanish much like the differences between learned English and how people more offen speak to one another. There is formal and informal ways of speaking just like in English. It all depends on context, who you are with and whether you feel comfortable being relaxed or not. So, for instance, if I was hanging out with you or Momma K, I would say, “¡Hola Vee. ¿Qué tal? (Like, Hey Vee, what’s happening?). However if I was with a new boss I would say: “Buenas Tardes Señor (Señora, Señorita, Doctor(a)) Garcia. ¿Cómo está usted hoy? Good afternoon (Title). How are you today? You will learn this the more you learn and practice speaking in real life scenarios. This is a FANTASTIC start though so BRAVO to both you and the Fantastic Mamma K!!
Just make sure feminine always makes words end with “a” masc or gender neutral is “o” and overall listening to Mexican or other Latino music/ media to get familiar with the accent and “phrases” are much more effective to learn then single word vocabulary list. Great Job Vee!!
This videos was super fun to watch. As a spanish speaker I loved seeing your mum trying so hard, she did really good and remembered things quite nicely. If I tred to do the same with my mum she wouldn't be able to say a word in english even if she had to repeat after me. Keep working on your spanish, girl, you're doing great. You remembered a lot after such a "long" time without practicing. I wish I was the same.
Hey Vee 👋👋 My first time coming across your channel... RUclips kept suggesting your video and I clicked..And my joy when I realized you are a fellow Zimbwean.. I'm camping here..and love mama ..wakavapinza busy lol
