    Enjoyed the video as always. You probably already know this but if you use the 10 seconds timer you can get your shadow out of the way and save all that faffing. Looking forward to the next one.

    Some cracking shots here. It looks like you had a great morning. If you're in Norfolk again, Thetford Forest Park is nice and Grimes Graves really is a surreal landscape.
    Have a happy and safe Hogmanay and New Year.

    If you want to see a murmuration come to Westhay nature reserve on the Somerset Levels. There are good displays before they roost during the autumn. See Somerset Wildlife Trust for more information. You seem to like photographing old wrecks, have you been to Purton in Gloucestershire?. To stop the banks between the river and canal eroding various types of old boats were beached here. They have deteriorated over time and might make interesting photos. It's been on our list of places to visit for a while.

    20:00 I like the one with the wood on the right side. It gives it kinda balance

    Cracking location that Paul. It would be a great place to set up when there is a dark moody sky in the offing. Of the two I preferred the image with the wooden post on the right hand edge. My particular favourite though was the sun star shot at 20:29. The monochrome image also gave the impression of the isolation and sombre remoteness of the area. Well done mate 👍👍

      @@paulcomptonpdphotography On the contrary Paul, landscape photography is your passion, and that certainly comes through in the very entertaining, educational and thought provoking vlogs that you produce. It is good to have a hobby that you are passionate about as long as that hobby doesn't become an obsession, which can have a negative effect resulting in a hobby that you start to enjoy less and less. Personally I think you have the right balance and with the support you undoubtably have from Mrs C I don't think you have anything to worry about.

    Re; Hiding your shadow. You could have minimized by simple bending over or kneeling on something? I often carry a plastic shopping bag or garbage bag to sit or kneel on.

      i would normally walk out of the shot with a longer timer, did not think it mattered to much in this one

      @@paulcomptonpdphotography "Walk out of the shot" ... not a great site to get stuck in the bog away from your camera! You're right. Shadow had little impact on image.

    I have a small concern that the photos you are displaying look soft! I don't know whether this is the fact that RUclips compresses the video, but the softness distracts from the viewing pleasure. Is there a way in which you can improve the sharpness???

    • @paulcomptonpdphotography
      @paulcomptonpdphotography  3 года назад +1

      I have been displaying my images the same way from day one, i am not sure why you see them soft.. in 3 years know one has mentioned this to me, ill look into it..

      @@paulcomptonpdphotography thanks Paul. It’s not a big deal as I generally enjoy the content. It’s just a shame as you probably film in 1080 or even 4K?
