    Today we had to cancel our long awaited trip to the Highlands. My husband is a cyclist . 10 days ago he hit a pothole lurking in the dappled shade and ended up in hospital with multiple injuries including a broken shoulder blade and punctured lung. He will mend, but it will take time and, realistically, we’re now looking at going next year. You would think watching your trip would be like rubbing salt into the wound - it isn’t. Sharing your enjoyment of this beautiful location eases the disappointment. Thank you both for taking the time and trouble to do your excellent vlogs.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  5 лет назад

      That's awful, hope he gets better soon. Some of the roads are really badly potholed especially at the side.

    Thank you for another nice trip out with you in the highlands :D We used to visit this Glen often when we first started to go to Scotland for our holidays ( over 20yrs ago) it used to be so so peaceful. However since the James Bond movie and the people doing RUclips vlogs about wildcamping down the Glen it has altered the feel of the place too much for us. The road now has far more traffic than it used to do and due to it being narrow this can make it awkward in parts.I think you were wise to turn around where you did due to the weather. The last time we drove to the end the area was full of leftover wildfires empty beer bottles and larger cans!!! so we have not returned since ! We hope you have a safe journey home and thank you for sharing your holiday with us all atb :D Teddy

    Hi Bob. Enjoying your tour, yes there is a car park at the end, have a look on google earth to see what you missed and for future trips where you are not sure of the roads, l find it very useful.
    Just watch Andrew Ditton live stream, very entertaining he mentioned midges, we have never had much trouble with them, I can only remember two places the fairy pools on Skye and Glen Etive carpark.

    I've really enjoyed this tour, the scenery has been absolutely stunning, so thank you both for sharing it.
    The bites you get on your ankles, are probably from fleas, rather than midges, as they hop up from the grass.
    I'm curious why, baring in mind it's summer, you have the windscreen cover on, especially when you have that view of the loch, with no-one else in front.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  5 лет назад +1

      Smidge obviously works on the fleas too then. The front cover keeps itcool in summer plus it gives us a bit of privacy, people walking past, while we we filming inside. Didn't have it on all the time.

    • @coveredinpaint7318
      @coveredinpaint7318 5 лет назад
