Backup hair ties in case one snaps! Can't have my hair in my face while I'm shooting! Also I'm picking up the Sony A7II either by the end of this week or next week!
Chris Hau I definitely have G.A.S too. The one thing I carry around with me are chargers and sensor cleaning kit. It makes me feel so much better when they’re with me.
Chris Hau I always like to keep my camera in my camera bag😉 Hey Chris what do you think about pick design everyday backpack? And another question... I’m thinking of buying dji mavic pro, do you think I should buy it? If that so do you think the price will drop next year?
I love the peak design stuff. I have one of their straps. If it works for you, you should get it! As for the drone, check for black friday deals and if it's not there, find one used! Don't let the money stop you from creating and getting better at being a drone pilot!
Because I do a lot of outdoor shoots, I always keep a raincover (the cheaper Ruggard plastic covers that come in a two-pack) and a dollar store pack of shower caps in my bag. My gear can handle the wet, but I still like to keep my lenses as free of spots as possible.
My God...you're like fungus. You're everywhere. I tried to tell RUclips that I don't wanna see you anymore but I keep finding you under other videos. Damn.
Hey Chris, I don't know if you do this but if you leave a mirrorless camera on while switching lenses the sensor is eletrically charged which attracts dust particles. Turning off the camera allows less dust to get on your sensor.
Nice! I won't be able to afford all of that gear for another couple of years 😥 I started to build my gear last year: a6300, Zeiss Sonnar 55mm, legacy 135mm and some standard cheapcheap Sony lenses, variable ND filter, Zhiyun crane, tripod. I'd love a few K to spend on G master lenses.
Nice love to see someone speaking highly of the sony mirrorless cameras, I also have the dirty sensor problem! Would be great if you did a video on cleaning the sony sesor as there are not many around!
Lo Pro 450 is a dope bag, Sony A7SII is a dope camera (I really want that 70-200 2.8)...but next piece of gear is the Aperture 120D plus diffusion GO! (Black friday sales GO!) Great video Chris!
Hey Chris I got a mild case of G.A.S myself. I always have earplugs for when I'm around loud vehicles and bands A multitool of some kind but I usually have one on me at all times. I also keep a small Swiss Army Knife in my camera bag got one with scissors always helpful. Gaffers Tape. On the Sony NP FW50 batteries yea I know about those, I got a Sony a6000 which I use with my Canon 7D mk ii, I found what is called a dual USB charger on Amazon that can charge two of those batteries at once, the USB cable tucks into a slot on the bottom and you can charge your batteries one of several ways, plug directly into a USB charging port like on a computer, in a car and even in some hotel-motel rooms, you can also use the Sony provided plug on it, and mine has a micro usb plug (the dual USB) which I can plug into a wall socket using the charging cord and plug that came with my Sony A6k connects right up. I have also charged them using one a power bank. Can't do that with my Canon Batteries LOL Lowepro makes some good stuff I used them for years, but I'm using Think Tank Photo bags and accessories for the time being but you know how that goes who knows what brand I'll be using next year (Was a fan of Tamrac bags years ago) sorry for the long post I'm a writer too so I tend to go long. really like your videos.
Awesome video Chris! Good to know all your gear! I wish I could afford most of it but I'm doing my videos with what I have. I will upgrade later on for sure. Cheers man and keep up the solid work!
Love these gear videos.. Quick tip: Keep a thing of Tide-to-Go in your bag, it quickly removes stains on the go which can be great if you or a talent has a stain or something on their clothes.
That RX100 MK V it quite the secret weapon Chris, it's been on my wish list since a visit to Aden and the realization of it's high speed video capabilities. My quiver of Canon tools doesn't come close to the high speed capture abilities of that little piece of B-Roll Magic, I'm curious what you think of it?
Supes awesome. Love it. I’m glad you said the bag is comfortable. I was looking into it but heard the straps weren’t the best. And the walkie talkies has me laughing, but also like “oh that’s super practical!” Great vid dude.
I'm slowly working my way up with gear! I also recommend people bring a little dust blower to blow dust off your camera, lenses, and such. As a videographer, audio is quide important so a good hypercardioid mic will be next. Also, some mid-size LED panels will be next before I upgrade my current camera to a G85 or something.
I just need to find a bag to manage all my cables and my external HD now. Between GoPro cables, phone, SD Cards, and camera cables, thats my biggest organizational issue!
I always keep my 85mm on me, I use it for shooting anything from sports to portraits. The downside is that theres no IS :(. The next piece of gear I dream to buy is either a canon 24-70 or a DJI Ronin, but first I gotta make some money filming! You're videos are great btw and I love the tips you give they really help me grow as a photographer/filmmaker!
I got the same bag :D the ONLY caveat I have with it is the "stiff" feeling about it, it's not like a real backpack :P But still the best camera bag I've ever had.
I always keep my nd filter, extra batteries, and step up rings in my bag! I need to step up my bag game tho! Got a tiny little one that barely fits my camera! As for gear...just bought the Zhiyun Crane 2!! Super amped to get it!
Nice dude! Good call on those items. Camera bag is so important, make sure you get something that works for you and is comfortable because it's the item that gets used just as much as your camera if not more! :)
Hey Chris, AWESOME videos, so good! 🔥🔥 Thank you so much for the info on the bag o goodies. What is a good, budget camera and lens to start out with? Thank you for answering this, in advance.
Hey Chris, Just starting out. Will be making videos sometime this year. Found you and love your content. I am in Rochester NY, just by the water. It's as if we could see each other across the water! ha jk. Hopefully someday I can do some video work with the man. One can hope.
Hi Chris, I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to properly expose for sLog 2 and sLog 3 picture profiles for the Sony A7s ii? I'm new to this camera and been looking around but haven't found any good tutorials for it! Love your content dude!
8:32 I don't think you should use all the outlets it might cause a shortage if you use a lot of power out of that outlet. Just a heads up!! Great vid, I learnt alot!
Great video dude! Question for you! what about a regular travel tripod. Do you keep one of those with you? I carry a Joby as well, but i find that its just not enough when im out and about. Also what's your opinion on sliders!?
Video idea: a quality comparison on the pro-mist filters you talked about. It seems as if they are low-key being used by the video industry, but not so much by the youtube community.
BEAST!!!! :) Just one question, do you use only the rode mic? for example, for this video above, what mic did you use?? Cheers!! Let me know when you`re coming to BRAZIL!!
yo chris, I recently got the panasonic gh 4 camera as a early xmas present. I'm new to the camera world and was wondering what 2 lenses (on a budget) would you recommend for taking portraits?
That neewer remote/time lapse thing, I got one for my camera and it doesn't work?! It very well may be that I'm using it incorrectly... Could you maybe do a video on using it/setting it up for the first time? Thank you. Ps. Love your videos! You have so much in your bag! #goals :D
I know you have a a9 now for photography. But do you have any photo gallery links of just A7SII photos? I’ve also always that that camera took fantastic photos that work fine.
For real though...ALL of that gear fits into that bag?! I used to use the Canon backpack that came with the kit and it wa small..so i went and bought a regular backpack that had a lot of room but I hate that it doesn't have compartments...
hey Chris, what is the best lighting solution for on site photography, would you recommend a speedlite with soft box or the aperture al-m9 or even a lume cube, im really struggling to find a video to address this
Question: I just bought an A7iii with an 85mm 1.8 and I'm looking to buy my next lens for family trips to theme parks and birthday parties and my kids events, I'm torn between the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, 24-105mm f/4, or the zeiss 25mm f/2...? What would you recommend for photography?
Would be perfect if it came with a rain cover....or does it?! just watched peter and Matti's videos and they also use this bag. Literally just talked myself out of buying it before watching your video and now i wanna go spend $300. Thanks :)
Hi Chris, I am new to drones. I am purchasing one and I am trying to decide between the Mavic Air or if I should save and get the Mavic Pro 2. What would you suggest?
Jordan Wright yes I do! I left that spot out so I didn't just talked about filter for 12 minutes. I carry a B+W polarizer. it's not needed always but I usually have one of me :)
What's the one thing you always keep in your camera bag!? Also, what's the next piece of gear you're buying?? :)

Chris, I miss you. That is all.
UGHH Chicken wings soooon! Miss you too brother.
Hey Peter what's going on
My God...you're like fungus. You're everywhere. I tried to tell RUclips that I don't wanna see you anymore but I keep finding you under other videos. Damn.
This isn’t normal
Wow, another Torontonian watching! ;)
Hey Chris, I don't know if you do this but if you leave a mirrorless camera on while switching lenses the sensor is eletrically charged which attracts dust particles. Turning off the camera allows less dust to get on your sensor.
The over-the-top lighting on the items was AMAZING. Doooooooode.
Ya I liked it, simple and effective. I might “borrow that” “hau to lighting”
haha! Thanks LUCY. DRAMATIC lighting is my new thing.
Can you make a video about how to do it? Trying to find a tutorial about how to do it and can't find!
Aviv Motzny - Chris, 100p agree with Aviv.
I just watched this as I was packing to be sure I wouldn't forget anything important :) Thx Chris, amazing content all the time!

This video was overwhelming but in a very good way. Thanks for the tips!
I've seen so many of these videos - but this was actually very helpful man. Mattifying powder - brilliant. And I'm not joking.

Love how you use hairspray for your face! XD I think I might try to incorporate it into my morning skin care routine!
Anything for the video ;)
Nice love to see someone speaking highly of the sony mirrorless cameras, I also have the dirty sensor problem! Would be great if you did a video on cleaning the sony sesor as there are not many around!
I love Sony! Great idea. I may make that video! :)
I love that camera bag! It sure does come in handy
Lo Pro 450 is a dope bag, Sony A7SII is a dope camera (I really want that 70-200 2.8)...but next piece of gear is the Aperture 120D plus diffusion GO! (Black friday sales GO!) Great video Chris!
Gooood call! I want that light too.
Let’s gst two and get a deal from a local dealer ;) so far B&H has the most competitive price with free shipping.
Hey Chris
I got a mild case of G.A.S myself.

Great video as always! How I wish I can afford a camera, it's my dream to have one, and photography is my passion. Thank you for inspiring me!
Jekrispard Dichos soon! :) keep saving and then eventually you'll get one!
Love these gear videos.. Quick tip: Keep a thing of Tide-to-Go in your bag, it quickly removes stains on the go which can be great if you or a talent has a stain or something on their clothes.

Chris this intro🔥. I'm still watching.. So much to learn. you are amazing.
Supes awesome. Love it. I’m glad you said the bag is comfortable. I was looking into it but heard the straps weren’t the best. And the walkie talkies has me laughing, but also like “oh that’s super practical!”
Great vid dude.
Hey Danjo right! It's usually things that help coordinate shots :)
Legit, U're the very first photographer that I know who keeps Dry Shampoo, Advil and Chapstick on his Camera Bag!! Great video bro!! 👊📷✌
bahaha. Essential for making people look good. Which is an important part of film making!
Chris Hau Totally agree!! I'm gonna put into mine next time I go out 😉✌
I'm slowly working my way up with gear! I also recommend people bring a little dust blower to blow dust off your camera, lenses, and such.

Wanna get a g85 too! Only have a GoPro hero 5 right now
Thumbs up for the taped on lid, mine was taped on till i lost it!
I just need to find a bag to manage all my cables and my external HD now. Between GoPro cables, phone, SD Cards, and camera cables, thats my biggest organizational issue!
All of you ... The great photographers like you, Peter and Matti live in Toronto
A new 35mm f 1.4 is my next piece of equipment that I will get :)
I always keep my 85mm on me, I use it for shooting anything from sports to portraits. The downside is that theres no IS :(. I got the same bag :D the ONLY caveat I have with it is the "stiff" feeling about it, it's not like a real backpack :P But still the best camera bag I've ever had.

Sigma 17-50mm is the best lense fir my canon 80d

My life. That’s what I have in my backpack. Lol
Hey Chris, AWESOME videos, so good! 🔥🔥 Thank you so much for the info on the bag o goodies. What is a good, budget camera and lens to start out with? Thank you for answering this, in advance.
Thanks for sharing all your equipment Chris! You really went into detail! Now the real question... how heavy is this bag?! haha
Carl Hewlett that's a good question
You got a mini studio in you bag dude!!! One day my bag will be as full as yours hopefully haha
bahah! Can't be too prepared.
Hey Chris, Just starting out. Will be making videos sometime this year. Found you and love your content. I am in Rochester NY, just by the water. It's as if we could see each other across the water! ha jk. Hopefully someday I can do some video work with the man. One can hope.

Noice video! You earned a sub for some reason XD
So those are like the basics, like thats what you really really NEEED in your camera...-transporter?
You use Arbonne? I love Arbonne!! Love the gear but seeing that little logo on there ❤️ 😍
8:32 I don't think you should use all the outlets it might cause a shortage if you use a lot of power out of that outlet. Just a heads up!! Great vid, I learnt alot!

I have a benro travel tripod I use witha manfrotto fluid head. I'm not a huge fan of sliders, but I do have one.
Chris Hau dude you need to switch to arca Swiss. So good!! Gonna drop a video about it soon, I’ll show you what I mean.
Video idea: a quality comparison on the pro-mist filters you talked about. It seems as if they are low-key being used by the video industry, but not so much by the youtube community.
Like the nonchalant arbonne tag
Another fellow Torontonian!!! Me to!!!
How do you do your products shots ? i wanna learn that light technique
hey chris, can you post the picture of the bag insert setup? especially the drone part. cheers!
BEAST!!!! :) Just one question, do you use only the rode mic? for example, for this video above, what mic did you use?? Cheers!! Let me know when you`re coming to BRAZIL!!
Hey I use that bag! Love it
Sick video mate. how come you dont use the play memores timelapse app on your Sony? It's really useful!
I would like to have a small drone in my bag. I only have BIG things now :)
I wanna get the 90 2.8 but I really need a wide angle first XD only have the 50 1.8 (and the focus sucks ugh) and then 85 1.8 (feels so good)
yo chris, I recently got the panasonic gh 4 camera as a early xmas present. I'm new to the camera world and was wondering what 2 lenses (on a budget) would you recommend for taking portraits?
25mm f1.7
A prime lens between 25mm and 60mm, with f/ below 2 (ie 1.4-1.8)
I'm going to buy extension tubes
Would love to know how he fits all of that in there!
That neewer remote/time lapse thing, I got one for my camera and it doesn't work?! It very well may be that I'm using it incorrectly... Could you maybe do a video on using it/setting it up for the first time? Thank you.
Ps. Love your videos! You have so much in your bag! #goals :D

Halleluja
For real though...ALL of that gear fits into that bag?! I used to use the Canon backpack that came with the kit and it wa small..so i went and bought a regular backpack that had a lot of room but I hate that it doesn't have compartments...
Had everything except for a camera, noice
.... one bag right? not like ten?! packing skills are HUNNA
One bag. I'm really good at tetris! :P
hey Chris, what is the best lighting solution for on site photography, would you recommend a speedlite with soft box or the aperture al-m9 or even a lume cube, im really struggling to find a video to address this
Why did I watch this video? Now I am buying that bag. :p
haha! Fit a few more things in that bag! :P
LOL!! Need to add Micro and WA lens. I should start practicing sleeping on the couch now. :D
Thanks :)

John Ventura that's just what's in my camera bag haha
Hi Chris, I am new to drones. I am purchasing one and I am trying to decide between the Mavic Air or if I should save and get the Mavic Pro 2. What would you suggest?
Is it safe to store my camera with a lens attached at all times
Hey Chris, do you keep any circular polarizer filters in your bag? Since you do automotive photography, Is a circular polarizer really needed?
Jordan Wright yes I do! I left that spot out so I didn't just talked about filter for 12 minutes. I carry a B+W polarizer. it's not needed always but I usually have one of me :)
Chris Hau okay cool, I'm doing a car shoot today and was freaking out if I need one. I know for like direct sunlight it's probably recomended.
