I plan to live in Arusha for 2 months next year and I am wondering how safe you think the city is for white expats? I’ve only been there for 2 days before so I am not sure what it is like living there, as I’ve read ‘home invasions targeting expats are common’. What do you think? I plan to shop at AIM mall for food and live in maybe the Burka area. Asante sana.

Tanzania at large is, peaceful, calm and easy going. Recently the president has appointed a very smart region commissioner called Paul Makonda for Arusha region. He is doing a smart job especially for the security of the region being the fact that Arusha receives many international visitors and diplomats.
