    The rooster: “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”

      This is one of the first videos I ever made. It's terrible quality! Everyone has to start somewhere. And, yet it still gets so many views. I definitely should do a new broody hen video!

    Had hens hatch eggs with the whole flock for 20 years never had any issues with other hens laying eggs on top of other eggs but we always have one box per hen.

    I have my rooster and chicken seperate in cases is there a certain time I should put em together so they can breed

    • @manorfarmshomestead
      @manorfarmshomestead  Год назад

      They can stay together all of the time. Once bred by a rooster, a hen will lay fertile eggs for about 2 weeks.

    I think i have a broody hen she sits on egges almost all day she's not laying and even when i try to move her or elsse she won't get up i think she started yestrday the prob is that she didn't sleep on the egges last night did the egges go bad already or what and why she didn't sleep in the nest ps my hen didn't really have that reaction when i get near her but she won't move my question is why she didn't sleep in the nest and did the egges go bad ?

      It usually happens to the roosters favorites. We have chicken saddles we can sew or buy that can help with it. I had the same issue and due to lack of $ I been sewing some "chicken saddles"

    Friendly Young chicken moved in 8 months ago. Got 4 months eggs no issues, now she will not come out of nest box or eat. Not sure what to do, if anything. I believe she needs other chickens that I don't have.

    • @meoff7602
      @meoff7602 2 года назад

      Watch her all day. I guarantee you she's getting up off for at least 2 hours to eat and poop. Then right back on the eggs. My current broody hen likes to come out in the afternoon.
      Whatever you do. Don't put food and water right next the nest. The hen needs to get up.

      However, if you only got one chicken. Please, get her at least one more. They are flock creatures.
