    Hello Nate, do you have a layout (plan) for this system? I´m a student of upstart university and i need it, because i can not understand totally the distribution of the plumbing. Thank you. Andrea

    Hi!I’m also doing vertical hydroponics set-up. I’m preparing my water reservoir but I’m wondering if that’s already enough.How do you calculate the reservoir for your lettuces (nutrient solution in L : lettuce head)? We have at least 10,000 lettuce heads in our greenhouse.

    RE: Y Filters and cleaning up any accumulation of algae to prevent drip emitter clogs...does anyone have any experience selecting filter type? There are many types: screen, disk, cartridge, media, etc. Does anyone have any experience or insight? Thanks!

    What are the adavantages of aquaponics?

      +Harry de Vokone There are quite a few which we address throughout our videos, blog posts, and even podcasts. A lot of folks like Aquaponics because it's a closed loop system that's very water efficient, and can be called organic. And it's fun! If you're looking for more detailed info on aquaponics, you should check out Aquaponics Academy: podcast.brightagrotech.com/episodes/

    for how long and how many times per day you let flow the water?for tomatoes for example

      Sergio - it depends on your climate and growing conditions. We keep our irrigation going constantly at a flow rate of about 2 gallons per hour for hydroponics.

    Interesting way with the sump and mixing tanks, very similar to Aquaponics that method.

    How many towers are irrigated by the system explained by Dr. Storey?

    • @ZipGrowInc
      @ZipGrowInc  9 лет назад

      Hi Nicholas Silverman - There are currently about 150 towers in this system, but this sump setup can and will serve over 300 when it's all said and done. You can see more about this system here: ruclips.net/video/L1qU3gXLE74/видео.html

    I don't understand the backflush on the Y filter. 3:39 Where does it backflush to? Is there another pump set up to backflush it, or is it the same pump that normally goes through the Y filter, except with tees and valves making it so the flow can be reversed when wanting to backflush? But would it then just backflush it into the system, thus not really getting rid of the filth?
