Nobody can sing Amazing Grace like Renee Thomas. I practically wore the recording out on my LP. I'm glad to know where's she's located now so when I visit home (Detroit) I can fellowship one Sunday with Perfecting Church.
Every time I see this I shake my head because I called Uncle Jay thay morning and reminded him I had school that night and would miss the concert and I BEGGED him not to pull out That Kind of Friend because I couldn't stand to miss that...he hadn't even thought of doing it...you see what he did, right??? Just to spite me...LOL...Lord I miss my Uncle so much because of foolishness like THAT!!! Lol.
he passed in 1988. the pastor of the parent church (now named Shield Of Faith) is Bishop James A. Jennings Jr. there are two offshoot churches as well, the pastor of Historic St. James Missionary Baptist Church is Rev. Argustus C. Williams and there is also Original St. James Baptist Church but i forgot their pastors name.
