Abi has had a burning desire to sing her entire life. Heck! Even before she was born! Our obstetrician, Dr. Schmidt, who had delivered thousands of babies, took off his headphones during Abi's sonogram and said "I've heard everything, but I've never heard this. Your daughter is SINGING!" Abi comes from a singing family. Her parents and grandparents include singers, choir directors, and piano players. Mom has a beautiful voice and was singing constantly while Abi was in gestation. We watched American Idol together when it debuted on June 11th 2002. Abi was listening and learning and was born a month later. American Idol became a staple in our home for years to come. But pushing all that amniotic fluid around in the womb did a number on Abi's vocal cords! Early on, it wasn't apparent that she would ever have an angelic voice, but she kept singing! She had AMAZING control. I told her: "You have a broken instrument, but you play it beautifully!" Well, thank God, that instrument ain't broken anymore!
We need to talk. I was impressed with Abi's performance which reminded me of Floor Jansen. Now I'd figure you'd know who Floor since your a fan of Amy Lee, but after looking at your reactions to Nightwish, I think the time period you picked was really very early in the band's life with Tarya as singer. Well in 2012 the line up changed to their third vocalist, Floor Jansen. There is a video out their from Wacken 2013 performance of Ghost Love Score which is the most reacted to video on YTube. Also from that same show a shorter song, Ever Dream. After listening to either of these offerings feat Floor you'll see why I made the reference. Also, if you do choose either of them to listen to pull the ones from Nightwish channel. You'll skip the ads buried in other copies. Also you'll find these songs performed at other venues but you don't really want to do that. Well taken up enough of your time. Regards
Best cover of this song that I have heard yet ❤
She does have a stunning voice... beautiful ❤
Abi IS INCREDIBLE!! I was obsessed since her audition!!
Abi Carter could be the next epic female rocker!!!!
One of the best performances on a singing show I have heard.
She has made it top 3. I guess next week. Pretty impressive young
lady. Whole package.
