    We appreciate any feedback and showcasing the products! We would mention the Switchblade is made more for EDC and not as an assault pack, but would be optimized with a hipbelt added to it. We would recommend you look at some of our actual assault packs, such as the HiSpeed/LoDrag, FacTrack, Little Brother with frame sheet, or G2 Gunslinger

      I've been considering picking up the Switchblade to go back to college with or to go on hikes with a comfortably concealed pistol of 10mm or more powerful caliber for bears. Never appealed to me for a tactical purpose, but when I was in college before I would have loved those large open flaps in the inside for holding books/laptop.

    I like the Tasmanian Tiger equivalent to these, similar features and shape/ fitment (good load bearing system too), the 5.11 24hr bag isn't bad either. Solid bro.

    Thank you for sharing. I have several Eberlestock backpacks. I also have the problem of hot spots that you mentioned. It is not so obvious with other styles of pads. My f4 g4 and x31 also have this kind of pads. After carrying the backpack for a while, the hot spots develop It started to appear. I always thought it was my personal problem. It turns out that you also have this problem. The j51 and j79 pads are much better than this one. As far as the pad design is concerned, I personally feel that the j51 and j34 are much more comfortable. The j79 pads The performance of the pads is not particularly outstanding, but it is still better than this, just for the pads.

    Excellent video, I see that subscriber count is steadily rising. Eberlestock shines in their edc bags and their hunting bags, their tactical offerings are questionable for basically all the reasons you mention. Some of the design features that make sense on an edc bag don't apply to an assault pack, I run the LBT 3 day assault packand it doesn't come with any internal organization, its just 3 open compartments with the big one having a sleeve for a bladder. It has a hip belt but like the one you showed, it has no way to stow it, I usually just take the slack out and tighten it all the way up then it sits on my lower back, or take it off entirely and tuck it inside. Actually, when I leave it on the back it kind of gives me a bit of an air gap and a cushion on my lower back that can be nice. There's a ton of options out there but some are definitely better than others. Mystery ranch is always gonna be up there for me when it comes to "tactical" style bags. Right now I run the LBT 3 day assault pack and I run a USMC filbe with an Alice frame as my main ruck, that combo sustains me for about 10 days with food, shelter, water, water purification, ammo, and room for any kind of team equipment that we may he cross loading, plus room for additional sustainment. Love this video and Id like to see a video on squad gear and cross loading, doesn't seem to be as popular of a topic as individual gear because it's not as sexy but squad water purification or bigger shelter setups for an LP/OP are something worth talking about

    • @sectorseven07
      @sectorseven07  3 месяца назад +1

      The lbt 3 day still stands to this day as one of my favorite packs in it's size category for the price. I ran one in Mas gray for three years. It's not huge in feature sets but it just works. Though I do moreso consider it a 24 hour pack. And my back isn't getting any younger, so I started moving to having some more rigidity in the pack for the comfort over long distances even in smaller packs.

    I really enjoyed your review of the two packs. I have had both and really are great packs. However, you're trying to battle two packs under "Assault pack" when the switchblade wasn't designed strictly for assault and was designed more for EDC. Eberlestock does put the switchblade under "Assault" "LE" but Eberlestock designed it more for "Tactical EDC". Obviously mystery ranch is going to win this by a landslide because it was designed and tailored for assault. Putting mystery ranch against the rush 24 or maybe the Tasmanian tiger modular packs would be a really great video.

      I get where you're coming from, but it's not even great as an EDC bag. I need to know what goofball is out there EDCing a multicam 30 liter pack lol. I mean, it's a free country...but to me an EDC bag should be 14-20 liters and be strictly plain colors.

    I work in an office and I’m looking for a bag that doesn’t fit like a pack but DOES have a magnetic CCW slot. Would rather my bag doesn’t look like it’s straight out of the military with webbing nobody ever uses. Ive yet to find something that looks normal, has good durability with good storage AND a CCW pouch.

    Youre comparing a CCW/EDC backpack to a 2 day assault pack

    • @sectorseven07
      @sectorseven07  3 месяца назад

      That much is evident by eberlestock's response. Yet they offer a molle hip belt for it, it's sold in multicam, and it's 30 liters. How many human beings are rolling with a 30 liter hip belted multicam pack for EDC that aren't also a closet homosexual?

But I'd love a free eberlestock pack. In fact I didn't hate the switchblade I think they just allow it to seem like something it's not.

    That’s a switchblade. Not a good comparison because the switchblade isn’t an ‘assault’ pack. It’s very edc. My gunslinger or mission assault pack would be a better comparison
