One pot, but still have the personal accounts but only send our “allowance” we give each other out of each pay check to those accounts.

I definitely understand the sweats around checking my account. I ask Mel all the time, "are we good to buy this?" We actually have a few accounts. One that's strictly for bills, savings, then 'extra' spending....think Target run.

Both. A joint account, plus separate accounts.

I also believe in a joint account when you married, there’s no secrets, same goes with finances..

I don't have a wife or a bank account. Instead my mother and I share her pension. I've already told you about it. The last time I visited her, she gave me some money and said she couldn't give me any more because she had to save for the funeral.
So, Erin can spend $1,000 at the mall at a time? That's exactly how much my mom wants to save for her funeral. I could live on this money for six months.
