I would agree... with the new system and enhancements to the engine... Parades seem way more possible. I'm also holding out hope we get stage shows at some point too! Like you mentioned, they are now a huge part of parks.
This is a great time for me in video games. Planet coaster 2, GTA 6 is no longer a rumor, one of my fav planes for flight sim just got released. What a year! I’m impressed with planco 2 I was worried but seeing the truly solid gameplay demo has me incredibly excited.
There's a lot of stuff they haven't talked about yet -- fireworks (they haven't shown a park at night yet I don't think?) track rides, an official list of all the flat rides that are included, a list of all the shops and mascots -- noticed quite a few missing from the lists we happened to get a peek at. So far no talk about POI system. The other big piece missing is how 'Prestige' stars will work now (or the replacement system). Parades are lower on my list, I think they'd make a great DLC. That said I'm excited about building my first lazy river dark ride -- kind of like the same ride from different viewpoints -- one the mechanical ride through the upper portions and the other the lazy river ride through the lower portions --- both areas would provide shade to cover that new dynamic.
If everything can be just placed on the pathways then everything has a hit box for peeps to avoid the items. So if perhaps a invisible waypoint is placed the vehicle float might have a hit box radius around it so peeps move out the of the float as it moves waypoint to waypoint
Parades could be like a special track or path and when the parade is active it would basically invalidate whatever guest pathing it covers and better yet, a certain percentage of guests could then turn and cheer for the parade as it passes. It would be like a mix of a ride and a fireworks show. Boom, make it happen Frontier!
It would not be hard to put in a parade element into the game. Make it a "track ride" that we can decorate the floats and have the ability to attach performers on and around the floats as they move. Yes they would have to animate different performers but even if they did 10 of them, that would go really far for a lot of people.
Hi, I'm famous now thanks to Sdan. I'll be taking autographs in the lobby from 2-4pm. But seriously, if this is an option, I really can't wait to see what becomes of it. I already have a few fun concoctions to test the limits here. Hope ya'll love this concept and honor it in your own parks!
You read my mind! I’ve been thinking about this a lot. The tech is there if we can add to rides. Just will be whether we get an official solution with floats to decorate or if we have to cheat it!
I thought the same! I really wish parades are coming. I'm not sure they'll be in the base game, but maybe in an update or dlc later on. Also, in the park they showed yesterday, the entrance has a fountain that spins. Maybe it is just my wish, but.. there might be the possibility that they provide some animated structures that you can attach scenery pieces to. This would allow us to create kinetic structures... that could potentially be added to moving things around a track... and there you have it, parades! There is definitely an effort to add more moving things and kinetic energy in planco2. So fingers crossed!
So here’s a big thing I’m trying to figure out. Now that you can put rides on the path first will supports just go on the paths and second will we get railroad crossings?
Can’t wait to se what you do with this game buddy. You’re exceptional at building in these games and your unique style will just smash this game out the park! 🫶🏼

Wow look at that lake!., it looks so natural (tropical) that is an option in PlanCo2?

That would be awesome. I always thought Disney should release a parade album.
I was also thinking about using scenery vehicles on top of the car rides so it looks like vehicles are driving around the parking lots etc.
