Dude I learned to play drums by studying many of the best thrash drummers in the scene. I thought I had maxed myself out after I had learned most of Slayers’ material until I tried learning Toms’ drum style it’s the most difficult style I’ve ever tried to learn even death metal isn’t as challenging as the way Tom plays. Gary Holt said Toms’ drumming is crucial to the Exodus sound and he’s so right about that.
