miss this band so much. find listening difficult sometimes knowing that the frontman was capable of such unspeakable things- but the music holds lots of special memories for me
I feel guilty for listening to them still to this day but I can’t just not ever listen to lostprophets again, they were and to be honest are still one of my favourite bands ever. Ian Watkins on the other hand is a twisted sick SOAB.
I feel you. LostProphets is one of the few bands of which I enjoy nearly every song they made.
I never stopped listening to them. It reminds me of the beauty and simultaneously the ugliness of the world.
Time to forget those memories and grow up buddy

Best band of all time for me... loving hearing this again, gutted isn't even the word that we can't still be experiencing this live. Why Ian... just why.
They should find a new singer, clear their name and start touring again. Their music and their musical career deserves it.
Unfortunately that won't be the case. These songs are forever tainted, specially, since Ian was the main lyricist. The brand can no longer exist because no record company will produce an album under the Lostprophets moniker. Also, the members did the right thing by distancing themselves from that awful thing. All we have left are these songs, but Lostprophets is done forever. That's why 3 out of five guys are no longer part of No Devotion. The impact of Ian's actions go beyond the music. Stu, Lee, Mike, Oliver and Luke will always be known as the Lostprophets guys...

my favorite band growing up. still can't get over what ian did but im trying. i haven't listened to them since he was convincted. i loved ian so much growing up. when the news broke i was depressed for a few months. i just couldn't believe the horrible things my fave singer was capable of and i felt so much hate towards him for what he did and remorse for the people he hurt. i think im finally at the point where i can listen to them again 10 years later.
Listen to No Devotion if you haven’t, it’s the rest of the band with a new singer & they’re great but very underrated unfortunately

If you want a complete picture of the decline and eventual criminality of Ian Watkins, just read 'Bodies - Life and Death in music' by Ian Winwood. Winwood is a journalist and former friend of Watkins. It's a brutal story and much more detailed and revealing than the basic news coverage.
Yeh he did some horrible things but their music is some of the best ever produced. They literally beat the brakes off of most of the rock bands in 2022 today. shame thier front man fucked things up for them.

@@py16667 Meth can severely change how you look physically, just imagine the mental effect we still don’t know as humans the full extent, they should have put Watkins in an Insane Asylum not a prison so he could recover fully and I doubt he would do anything to the sort while being straight edge as he had no issues from 97-05.

I was shocked by how he deteriorated in his skill. I suppose it's drugs' influence which had revealed by that time. He didn't catch any sharp note while was singing Bring Em Down. He simply stopped to make as significant efforts as earlier. Only in my opinion. By the way it's weird to realize that at the moment of this video shooting he already perpetrated everything he was indicted in.

@@andyh1903 idk if you know what went down, they were on & off streaming. Their first album actually did well, was on streaming for years but the label shut down & it was taken off, they only just recently added it again so there’s less streams in comparison. The music is on par with their previous work, just more raw & less mainstream, they’re making music to have a creative outlet, it’s not like they need it to be successful, they’ve made plenty of money already

Much more likely they would've broken up not long after this anyway. The relationship between Ian and the rest of the group had vastly deteriorated to the point they were more coworkers, and as one he had become way too unreliable.

If you take a close look at the other band members you will see no one looks a least a bit happy. They don't even smile. They knew what was going on I think. Or at least they knew the band is over.
They didn't know about the sexual stuff or the severity of it, but Ian had been on a steady decline outside of the sick pedo shit for some time that all the other members had to deal with. In an interview I remember reading about shortly after the band broke up, one of them called him a "constant miserable challenge" or something similar.

But there’s no way they knew the extent. They’re pretty normal guys with families. Only Ian ever really lived up to the cliche “douchebag” style rock star.

The same goes to the rest of the victims, the people who suffered the consecuences of his actions: His Family, the people he abused, all of them deserve the chance to get the relief of knowing that the man who ruined their lives, is gone for good. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

That’s the scary part about sociopathic and manipulative monsters like Ian. They’re just really good at hiding their true intentions and go on with their depravity when no one’s watching. As the saying goes, “there are monsters hidden among us”.
Plus, they were already somewhat distant with him for a while (with Ian still living in the UK while the rest of the band are in the US along with his unprofessional behaviour)

Theres just noway to separate the music from the man, its a shame for the rest of the band but it is what is, at this point he had already crossed the Rubicon, one of my favourite bands growing up, now when ever I hear them it just upsets and sickens me, he used the band and its fans as a vehicle to depravity beyond comprehension
The rest of the guys are in No Devotion & you can seek out instruments if you don’t want to hear Ian, that’s how I can enjoy the music without being reminded of Ian
