In Karnataka we call it Paddu (पड्डू ). This is a very household dish here and is made from the usual dosa batter. We usually just add some chopped carrots and onions to the batter which makes it tasty. Here she has experimented with paneer and corns. Good to see the dish being experimented and spread across India. Good luck to the hardworking woman!

Punugulu in AP & Telengana.
Won't go for the origins but Paniyaram is tastier. Paddu has varieties. AP serves the best chutneys with it either karam/mint.
