The gaming world is where Apple needs to start making these products better. The fact that I have to buy a PC to handle games that my $2500 Mac can’t do is ridiculously. And please, for the love of all, make the iPad capable of doing everything a base Mac can do. I shouldn’t have to upload music to a Mac, to then get it on my iPad. I should be able to upload music straight to my iPad. I feel like the only thing that needs to separate a Mac and an IPad now is the form factor and OS. But in terms of capabilities, these should be the same products.
Microsoft is a monopoly completely controlling gaming platforms. You may think this is a good idea, but the newly unemployed gaming programmers aren't happy, not one bit. Quality is dropping like a stone.
@@tonyburzio4107 Well, Apple's different from Microsoft - Apple is intentional in the companies they buy unlike Microsoft buying gaming studios willy nilly. What the original comment means is Apple needs to better support gaming through macOS optimization and helping devs port games. Problem is, you need market share to be a gaming platform. Unless most people have Macs, MOST devs won't bother making games for it (talking about the majority here, exceptions aren't the rule). Apple has two options: either gain more desktop market share (which they could if they wanted), or do what Linux did - use a compatibility layer. They actually have one called Gaming Porting Kit 2, but make it difficult for regular users to access. Sure, there's an open source program called Whiskey that does this, but I'm talking about Apple making gaming easy - like downloading a game on Steam and it automatically using their gaming porting toolkit 2. If they'd just optimize it and build it into macOS like Linux did with Proton on Steam, we could run Windows games natively. The $99 yearly dev fee doesn't help either - maybe a one-time gaming fee would encourage more devs.
Personally concur with this! Issue being macOS wont be a gaming platform anytime soon just like how Linux isn't either. macOS can play few games which are ported but many can still be played using there gaming tool kit 2. it's basically the macOS version of proton for linux expect it's made for devs to entice them to port there games to macOS🙄 There's a program called whiskey that fast tracks getting games set up via the gaming porting tool kit 2. So I'd check that out if I was you to see if the games you play can be used as such and you might be able to play your non ported games. I can't comment on your music situation but apple should make things simpler. They wont ever make macOS on tablets because MONEY 🤑 So the best thing they can do is just to be IOS on a tablet as there just jumbo sized iphones in my humble honest opinion.
If the current Vision Pro can’t handle Apple Intelligence, I wonder what the trade in value will be for current owners that want the Vision Pro with M5 and the ability to run Apple Intelligence
The base Mac mini gets rave reviews as best Apple product announcement of the year but the cost of the upgrades are in the stratosphere as is usual for Apple
I moved from the Original SE to the new 10 because Apple had a bundle for pre-order of the iPhone 16. You get the watch and the carrier's portion of financing is covered, making the watch significantly cheaper. On top of that the SE is not eligible for the Watch OS 11
Price point is a marketing term. There are two factors in price points. One is keeping a consistent amount over different generations. And the second factor is with regard to product differentiation. A good example is Mac mini. The key price point is $599. That is the advertised amount and that was the same price for the previous generations since Apple silicon has been out. By keeping the price point the same, Apple generates a ton of positive hype. Everyone says that the M4 mini is much better, but Apple didn't even change the pricing. In product differentiation Apple does what's called good, better, best. So the mini pricing is $599, $799, $999. Each step is a better product, but the difference between them are price points that psychologically encourage people to move up to pricier machines.
I moved from the 13 Pro to the 16 pro. I intend to return to the Fibonacci upgrade cycle and will now plan my next upgrade to be the iPhone 21. I'm 58 and I might live long enough to get to the iPhone 34 as my final iPhone! I would like Ai to be able to tie into the health data I'm tracking such as the ECG and give me an analysis in context of my state of health. Unfortunately, the ECG being only one lead can tell you if you have a sinus rhythm or fibrillation. You would need additional leads to give a more comprehensive analysis. But such an accessory would not be out of line for Apple. a pack of leads and sensors that connects to the USB-C port and then feed to the EGC element of Health.
As AI develops, even 12 gb ram n the phone will quickly become less capable 16gb should be the minimum or base and optional ram upgrades should be available
I almost expect a shift in iPhone naming sometime in the future. The iPhone SE could become the iPhone. The current iPhone 6.1 and 6.7 could become the iPhone Air with the iPhone Pro 6.3 and 6.9 remaining the same. This would align the products that Apple offers with the same naming as the iPad and MacBook for all practical reasons. Uniformed naming across platforms would be a great thing!
Note......Mac Studio is using a M2 Max and Ultra chip not M3 series.
Thank you!

Can make light ? Sine? Small?
Apple also needs to bring more innovation, functionality, technology and capabilities to the next version of Vision Pro
Will iPhone SE 5 be an iPhone SE 4 with 12 GB RAM, 120 Hz and no notch?

any news on a new Apple 🍎 TV streaming box ????😮
What makes a price “pointy”? No one I ask seems to know the difference between a price and a “price point.”

I’m right there with you brother.🎉
😂😂😂
If Apple can fit hand held controllers to either side of their IPad it would be a great gaming device. you see them on phones.

Of course there is no regular MacBook, but Apple could do that with the M1 MacBook if they desired to do so.
Apple is releasing newer versions with more emojis, nothing useful
