If you all want to know more about the AIP diet and how it's helped me, let me know and I might make a video just about what the AIP (auto immune protocol) diet has done for my autoimmune disorders and how it's changed my life. I might even throw in a few of my favorite foods/recipes.
I would love to know more -- We have autoimmune issues in our family, too. Thank you so much for your tips. I don't know how you do all that planning -- You're amazing.
Yes please! Id love to see your favorite recipes. I don't have a diagnosis but I have intense inflammation that knocks me on my but and it's definitely tied to diet. So I need to learn about this. Thanks for sharing!
Good morning- I am diagnosed with PMDD and I can get sick about 10 days before my period and it’s debilitating and I’ve been going through that this week and I have felt like a failure as a mom and homeschooling. My brain starts telling me I can’t and shouldn’t do it. Thank you for this video- it came at the right time for me to hear. I need to rely more deeply for Gods strength because I can just go numb.
God led you to make this video for the season I’m in. My chronic pain shuts me down emotionally some days and I’m just useless. Thank you for your support and encouragement! ❤
There have been many days when my son would come sit on the edge of my bed to get help on a math problem or to help with editing a paper. He is more compassionate because he sees me as human; instead of seeing me as a supermom that can do it all. I think that God can use that for the good of us both.
I keep praying you're able to find remission soon! I can't imagine feeling as bad as I know I can feel for as long as you have been. You are so strong being able to homeschool while feeling so bad.
I know what u mean about being very determined. That’s how I am on my 12 year of homeschooling despite health issues. Praise The Most High 🙌🏼 I think I may try the aip doet. Ty!!
My mom has fibromyalgia, she ended up retiring early. Some days she was fine and others could hardly move. Relief ican be through light exercises, going in water, and other things. But nothing major as in overdoing it. She also lost a lot of weight and that has helped. I have more weight to loose and have seen improvement in my headaches as well. Even my stomach area, the bloat is getting less. My cousin has MS and diet changes have helped as well. Keeping you in our prayers for relief.
Thank you for sharing. I have five autoimmune diseases and do a lot of these tips. I have kids with autoimmune diseases and one son with type 1 diabetes and that care can take its toll. Lack of sleep makes everything worse and more painful. I think I need to move back towards the AIP diet asap. I am currently dealing with a flare up and hopefully will be able to feel better and catch up on things soon. For school we have three different plans/routine in place depending on the level of flare up and set back. It is discouraging sometimes but like you said God’s Sovereignty is the most beautiful thing I have experienced walking through all this. ❤️ blessings to you! So thankful to hear you are doing well and have seen major improvements!! ❤️
I'm so sorry you're dealing with that. I have 3 so far, lupus, RA, and axial spondyloarthritis. Before I started the AIP diet, I could only stand/walk for 10 minutes at a time. Now I can run on the treadmill and walk for over 2 hours. I had chronic migraines, too. AIP knocked those migraines out for me, which I didn't know would or could happen. It takes several months to get there, but it gave me my life back as far as movement goes. Those flareups are awful! I pray it ends soon for you.
@@moments_peace I haven’t made sandwich bread (I’m the only one who can’t have starch/flour in the house), but I use cassava to make tortillas, pancakes, and things like that. I try to use tigernut flour more though due to the higher lead content in cassava. I use the Anthony’s brand on Amazon.
I agree with you about movement. I have celiac disease, and it is essential for me to get up and move every single day. If I don't, my body is in severe pain and I get depressed among many other symptoms. I encourage you to stop drinking coffee. That wa another thing that helped me feel better ❤ I realize we have different conditions, but it has helped my husband too, and he doesn't have any illnesses. ❤
Check out Mikayla Peterson and her journey with chronic illness. She has an interesting story what she has been through with sickness and where she is now health wise.
Thank you so much for the video!! I have chronic illness as well but hasn't been diagnosed for it yet 😢 hardest part is finding friends for my son and i also have a toddler too. I haven't been able to find friends who understands my situation either so going to playdates and all that is difficult
Definitely try the lion diet Also red light therapy Cold plunging Follow Jordan Rubin and his testimony. Most holistic nutritionists and others in the field have similar situations and through diet and functional medicine they healed themselves. I think functional medicine is absolutely the best thing we could do for ourselves to help us be proactive at home. Wonderful advice! thank you
Thank you for sharing. I am starting homeschooling with my middle school age children in February. I have chronic illnesses too. I do many of the tips that you shared. One thing I am concerned about is the time it takes to do all the health stuff and then i will be homeschooling as well. Will I have any time left in the day? I feel badly for my kids because once I have done all those things most of the day is gone.
I was overweight most of my life until I had my second child in 2010. Then I lost the baby weight and kept going until I literally had nothing left to lose. Now I just maintain my weight. Thankfully I got the weight off then, because with my medical condition now, I’d never be able to lose 100lbs.
@mandy-maltz usually happens the opposite! We have babies and then just can't get the weight off! I have some conditions that an anti inflammatory diet would definitely help, I think I will begin to incorporate this.
@@MultitaskingNinjaMom Yes! The AIP diet has been SO helpful. It's all nutrient dense food, and it's cured my migraines, my kids' acne and headaches are gone, and it's really helped my autoimmune issues. I highly recommend it to anyone who has autoimmune issues.
Hi Mandy! I have hashimotos and lupus. I take no medication for autoimmune. I started with trying the AIP diet but it made me feel worse! I have been following a ketovore diet. So, mostly meat, some veggies, berries, animal fats. Mostly I try to avoid anything inflammatory. Wheat, grains, sugar, and seed oils. If I eat this way I have zero symptoms. Hope this helps❤️❤️❤️
@@karissachappell5444 I have to take medication, unfortunately, because of my axSPa. My spine is fusing together, and I’ll lose mobility if I don’t take Humira. For me, it’s a two part process, food and meds. So far it’s working out really well ☺️

Thank you Mandy!!! This is so helpful! My migraines have been at its worst this year! I also invested in a walking pad which had been super helpful!
