I went to see my mother, whom I havent seen for several months. There have very difficult issues between us. She hugged me, which is very unusual. I started to cry. We hugged each other for a long time. I dont expect things to change, because she has her own problems. She has dementia now. It felt good to be with her. I think I needed to cry.

Hi Nate - this was my first year without my mother on Mother’s Day - she passed back in February at age 93. I took care of both my parents- lived home my entire life and took care of my mom with dementia the last 7 years. I took fresh cut flowers from her rose bushes and other bushes and visited both my parents at the veterans cemetery for an hour or so. It’s not just the living mothers we need to remember but our moms who are no longer with us.

My poor mother-in-law has suffered greatly from dementia the last couple of years of her life. It is a huge undertaking to look after someone like that. Kudos to you.
First Mother's Day Without my mother.. I miss her desperately.. She lived with me this past winter.. i'm so blessed To be as close to her as I was. she's my best friend. @@feliztudor9463 People do not realize the suffering the caretakers experience in doing so. It takes a huge toll on oneself emotionally and physically. You become a prisoner within your own home. I could not afford to put my mother in assisted living or some other home health care facility. I also was left by the wayside from other siblings who did not want to get involved or even wanted to help at all because their lives were more important. However, I was blessed to have both of my parents for so long that we did have some very good times at the end of their lives.
All Mother’s Days are hard when we have lost our Mums, but that first anniversary is especially hard. Sending all my best to you all. My Mum has been gone for 23 years, and I still feel empty on Mother’s Day.♥️♥️♥️

He was greeted by the toothless, stubbly-bearded smile of his cellmate Chucky, who sent him a friendly “What’s up, bro?”.
James closed his eyes again.

100% Julie Rowe has been up to her neck in this foul darkness from day one. She's a truly horrifying zealot, she put alot of support behind Chad and his BS. I'd love to see her being quizzed by a talented journalist but at the same time I would hesitate to expand her audience.

I don't understand how Chad's kids are so chill about what their dad did to their mother. Besides all the murders, they clearly know their father was having an affair and didn't flip out when he married Lori. It seems like Lori's family is more upset over everything, also charles family

That’s what’s so strange to me. The only explanation is that Chad’s children are living in the same delusion as he and Lori are living in

We have no idea what they think now that they have had time to sit with the knowledge of what Chad did . They have to believe it by now , but we have no idea what their attitude is . At first I thought that Lori was more of the mastermind but as the trial has gone on, I can see just how manipulative and evil Chad is. He’s more dangerous because he appears so meek and docile but in truth, he’s an extremely dangerous and murderous man. I’m so grateful the truth is finally coming out! He and Lori together were next level dangerous. It’s hard to believe that ideas and thoughts can morph into something so deadly…..

Actually not in my attic but buried deep in basement cupboards🤣. Found them when spring cleaning. I bought them used about 18 years ago and they were so bad. My best friend growing up was LDS. I saw “Saturday’s Warrior”, which she performed in. My favorite song in it had the words “who are these children coming down “, the melody still in my mind. This is haunting.

My 14 yr old son and I drove from SE Ks to north Texas on Saturday to spend a few days with my sister and her family
My sister diagnosed with ALS just about a yr ago, can no longer speak, move swallow or really anything but breathe and that with a non invasive ventilator
I come as often as possible
We watched a couple shows on YV and listened to the rain
It was peaceful but rather lonely.

Looking at Chads face as we are standing by waiting for you to come on is excruciating. Seeing him in the courtroom is too. His perfect posture and seemingly lack of emotion, and showing absolutely no sign of heartache his wife died, the children died for starters is unbelievable. Everyone that got in his and Lori’s way died. He is 100% unfazed over so much loss of life of innocent people they had individually at least loved at some point. Not a normal response unless you are guilty which I feel he is, and that includes Lori. They are both evil callous human beings. It’s always a mystery how people can connect and they somehow decide murder is the best option. They were only focused on just themselves and a whole lot of sex. The thought of the two of them in the sack just makes me sick to my stomach. I don’t know how the jury is keeping up with it all. They have a big job ahead of them. I think the pictures of the children’s remains alone will be so hard on them long after this is over, likely for the rest of their lives. Thanks Nate. As always your thoughts, and the coverage of this nightmare is beyond perfection. Thank you, and to your entire crew.

Chad embodies every character trait of a psychopath. They don’t feel most emotions! They feel anger and excitement, but the bar is high for excitement (they get bored easily). Hence why they do ins@ne stuff. Because they don’t have fear, guilt, and shame… what’s stopping them from seeking excitement? Not that it makes any of this ok!! They still know what they do is wrong and choose to do it anyway. I’m just explaining how a human CAN do this. 😢

Nate, will you please explain to those who wouldn’t know that Chad and Lori are not really sealed? They did a proxy sealing and pretended that that also sealed them. The Church would never allow two people who aren’t married or marrying at that moment to get sealed, especially when they are married to other people. You can’t just use your temple recommend to get sealed-you have to go through your bishop and stake president to get a special recommend for your own sealing, and the temple officials have to see your marriage license or certificate, too, to make sure it’s legal.
Are you trying to address Nate and not Chad?

Exactly! They even send the signed marriage license to the applicable state government afterward. They reference the license number on the marriage certificate that the temple issues to the couple. Chad & Lori were definitely doing a proxy sealing and like you said "pretending" to get sealed. But my question is....if they thought they had already been married in past lives (which LDS do not believe in reincarnation) why wouldn't they already be sealed in their minds? And a sealing lasts for eternity, so why have to do it again? His personal doctrine was purely FALSE.
How come the church hasn’t commented on their incorrect use of the temple?

Maybe Hawaii is different but here in the contiguous states if you are planning a wedding and need a venue and whatever you call the ceremony person who weds you, it takes a year. How did they do it so fast? I also wondered how many times Chad texted and called Lori during Tammy’s funeral. I wonder who was at the pool party the day Charles was killed. Details that probably don’t matter other than knowing what was on their hearts and minds after such tragic events that would overwhelm some of us. Sad.

Great coverage tonight Nate. I watch from Kennewick, WA. I usually watch most of the trial live, but then I want to hear what you have to say about the day. As for Malachite being deadly…..My mom’s favorite color her whole life was green. So when she heard about and saw Malachite for the first time, she instantly loved it! And for many, many years she got different pieces or sets of Malachite jewelry. She wore a ring on every finger, except her thumbs. She loved her jewelry, and loved to wear it , whether going to work or out for an evening with my Dad. She never once said anything about feeling weird or different while wearing Malachite. She never ended up at a hospital for wearing. So, because of my experience with seeing her wear a lot of malachite daily, for years, without issue.

I believe it was Tammies sister that described how the two sections were joined by a hallway. My mind instantly went to Alex hiding up there and sneaking down to murder Tammie. Anyone else think this possible???
