Entraîneur du club de TARBES, le Maître René GEUNA illustre l'apprentissage de l'escrime au sabre sous la forme collective, avec des élèves de section sport- études.
C'est, selon des principes relativement proches de ceux qui sont montrés ici, qu'il a obtenu de brillants résultats nationaux et internationaux, notamment avec les trois "fleurons": P. DELRIEUX, P.GUICHOT et F. LECLERC.

Warm-up - hi-intensity , fencing-related. footwork: aggressive position, marchez (dance), easy pull, arm-up, hold lunge position, adv-lunge x10 (Koreans took it to the next level), go-stop, parry-parry. Drills - probably what set that school apart, as they were able to turbo-charge the number of repetitions. Correct position, shoulder down, fingers at work, start with static, add steps, break out simple actions, e.g. attack against point-in-line, attack followed by automatic counter-riposte, distance games (Russian style, "one action one practice"). at the end on the board, the outline of the framework to take fencing from regular primary school to the world arena.
