This is terrible attendance. CPL should be playing in smaller stadiums. 5-10 thousands capacity. University stadiums perhaps. This isn't good for the league.

For some reason they do not want to invest in the smaller stadiums. All cities have smaller stadiums that could be fixed up with a quarter million at most. Exceptions would be Calgary and Halifax. They already have small stadiums and could fix them up easily. Halifax wants to spend millions on making a 10 k stadium, but heard the city and the majority of the civilians are unsure because not sure if the league and team will succeed and what will happen if that is a reality because the taxpayers will pay the majority of the fee. I am sure that Hamilton and Ottawa have facilities that can hold 5k. Living in Winnipeg I know that there is a facility 10 mins from Princess Auto that could be renovated for 250k easily for Valour, but they also have a good deal to use Princess Auto and no stability long term in the team right now.

Excellent observation. The cavernous stadia diminish the enthusiasm of the fans.

@@pictureofmyjunk2279 Which one do you mean? What about the field next door to the 'Princess Auto Stadium', isn't that even closer? Where the Fury used to play. However, not sure how much it'd cost to renovate! You must be talking about the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex?
Valour FC is owned by the Bombers, and you are certainly right, our attendance is bleak! Valour, I think has been largely unsuccessful because it hasn't found any success on the field/standings. No deep playoff runs, no great marketing campaigns to bring people out to games here.

@@pictureofmyjunk2279 a quarter mill to fix up a stadium? Costs $50 K just to have a deck built these days. Price of materials, cost of labour, labour shortage. And that's not factoring in the time it takes for decisions like a stadium reno / new stadium to work its way through city council. As ugly as it looks to only have a few thousand people in a cavernous stadium, it seems to be the only viable option. Pretty sure as well that U of M shares the Bombers stadium...?

      Agreed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
They should rethink this league completely, from CHILDISH commentary to stadium size and popularity????? The CPl is 6 years in and still has not evolved!!!!!
Empty buildings, crowd numbers going down, the CPL, CSB ONE SOCCER all need to reconsider the future of this league....
8 teams is old school and not exciting at all!!!
The strange team names, weird shirts, game-day experience is woketothecore and this 5th tier league is running at max attendance as nobody cares for this amateur Men's Soccer league!
I can watch the same standard on any day, in any soccer center in Canada, so why should I or you pay?
This is the last season ticket I will ever buy as the experience is not Football its wokePoliotics by strange one's!
