Steven Tyler once was, what is, is now and will thus forevermore be too damned cool for school. This band is a true American treasure.

You have to be a total genius, and must also have the balls the size of China to start a show at age seventy-something with that "Back in the saddle" high note.

The first time I saw Aerosmith was in 1977 Cobo Hall Detroit Michigan I have seen them 18 times since then one of the greatest American bands ever along with ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd of course

Best band ever. Every band I've went to in concert? None compare sound or even are as fun as Aerosmith.
Just adore them. This band will always blow away most if not all their contemporaries. Staying power, great songs, the ain't never gonna just fade away.
They are the only band that I see óut there still doing their thing and doing AMAZINGLY!! I LOVE AEROSMITH!!

Snuck into Aerosmith in 1983 Las Vegas, front of stage. They opened with Back In the Saddle, the moment Tom Hamilton ripped into that signature bass line-front and center of the stage was explosive. Tom is a damn good bassist.
One forgets how long these guys have been together. I'm 64 and I was in highschool when I first heard them.
Seen this band in the mid seventies. They performed as a back up band for the Doobie Brothers. Aerosmith played Train kept a Rollin and blew everyone away.

Folks , these guys are 60/70 something Fn Rockstars! Still touring! Entertaining Teens and Adults of their own age and well in between, all at the same time! Good luck to any band that can accomplish this ever! Forget 50 years later??? Geesh!. This is rarefied air here! Enjoy every moment while it lasts! We have lived in incredible times. I saw em in the 80’s and 90’s and they are forever a part of my 70’s intro into rock n roll!
These guys refuse to get old they're still young.
Yes, I realize they aren't moving like it's 1987 (or 2007 I suppose) but they are still remarkably good--sound great and Tyler's voice seems to not age at all. Pretty impressive. Many bands who came years after them have been done for years. Rock on, guys.

spring 1977, age 14, i heard Rocks for the first time ever. opening track BITS completely blew my mind. had never heard ANYTHING like it at that time. those insane vocals!! probably listened it a dozen times before moving on to Last Child LOL.

This moment of entering the stage is always so expressive, which immediately sets you up for a positive ... Steven, as always, is energetic, delightful, from the very first song, he ignites all his fans with his performance ... I liked it better when they would open with “Toys In The Attic.” Tyler is a freak of nature to still be hitting those notes…born to be a rock singer.

I saw them at Fenway Park in Boston. One of the BEST concerts I've ever been to in my life and I've been to hundreds!
They can play every tune in thousands ways, so every performance is so thrill. We can see good times and bad times, but this is rock and roll.

@@dananthony6258 Fair enough! Guess I'm a few years older than you -- I was a teen during their Permanent Vacation/Pump era and was OBSESSED during that time. Get a Grip was a bit of a disappointment for me tbh, but definitely a decent album. I just couldn't stand the "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing"/Super Bowl Halftime Show with NSYNC/Just Push Play era.

I've been listening to a lot of Toys In the Attic, Rocks, Draw the Line, Night In the Ruts, and even Rock in a Hard Place. Those albums really do it for me! I've seen all those Tours and loved every one of them!

First song i ever heard was Train kepta rollin and i went crazy.
Aerosmith should do a tour playing just their stuff from the 70’s. There are millions of us older fans who prefer their best stuff, and it would be a huge success. It really all depends on how strong Tyler’s voice is at age 74, and he clearly is still quite capable.

First time I saw them was in Houston Texas 1977 at Joel Osteen’s now church With Bon Scott AC/DC opening act then journey with their new singer Steve Perry I was 14 years old and had no idea what kind of history I was witnessing

A bit slower in movement as we all get but still delivers. I swear Rock is the Fountain of Youth. I realize he had surgery -- that's not what I mean. It keeps you young inside.

Hard to believe i went to one of there concerts in the 70's and there still touring in 2022! Crazy if you really think about it. He looked like he was out of breath after the 1st song. LoL!
It’s crazy to think that back then we couldn’t imagine seeing these bands in the year 2022. I couldn’t even conceive of 2022 in 1977! Here these guys are, basically the same as they were then. How does that happen? ha.

Unlike many other veteran bands and their vocalists, you don't get the feeling these guys are going to run out of steam and rely on backing tracks.

Just for the record, "Walkin' the Dog" is not an Aerosmith original. Steven Tyler was a big fan of the blues. Aerosmith cut their teeth doing covers. The original is a more bluesy sound.
1970s Aerosmith is better than 80s, 90s, and 2000s Aerosmith combined. An exception is 1982's "Lightning Strikes".

I really dislike the trend of playing videos on a massive screen behind the band while they are playing. It lends nothing to the live performance and is a huge distraction. That being said, Aerosmith sounds incredible!
