I’ve been a yo-yo dieter for 30 years, I’m currently 3 stone overweight using BMI scales, I’m 1.5 stones over using my feelings and looks. My joints are starting to ache, I’m suffering acid reflux and I’m not feeling my best. I understand the need for body confidence etc however I really wish I’d tried harder to keep the weight off when I was younger as it’s truly impossible to lose weight over 60 all the things that used to work don’t anymore. It’s fine being bigger when you’re younger, you have that energy and vitality to carry it, I definitely think weight contributes to age related problems. I’m still trying to lose it and I’m very active, I cycle a lot and walk a lot but not every day. I know this isn’t consistent with the message in this video but from experience please try get to your happy weight before you get to 60, you’ll be much more comfortable in older life ❤❤❤
Hi Julie, I'm sorry you feel the discomfort, and it's great that you're trying to stay active. This is key here. Health is a result of behaviours more often than a result of weight. Being fat does not cause these things. Thin people have these issues too. You may still have had the issues if you were in a smaller body. Don't be regretful, you can't get that time back. Focus now on behaviours and activities that support your health and wellbeing instead.
