Nice versus review today. I don't believe we have a Bowmore as of yet. Perhaps an independent bottle but only maybe. We've noticed, even with Macallan, true sherry cask-aged whiskies are not as common as they once were. Cheers.

Thank you and true, the whisky industry is definitely changing, even the prices and availability 😰 I really recommend Bowmore but not this 10 year Aston Martin collab, too expensive and not as tasty as the no.1 or the 12,15,18. Have a happy new year! 🥃

I have not had any of the Aston Martin series yet. I may need to hunt one or two down. They looked a little pricey though. I agree with the vanilla curd on the No. 1. Easy to enjoy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here!

Happy New Year Jon, best wishes this year for you and your family. I wouldn’t really recommend grabbing the 10 year Aston Martin edition, I haven’t had the opportunity to have it next to the 12 yet but from memory I’d say it’s been the least enjoyable Bowmore for me even though I still like it, the price is also hard to swallow

@@WhiskyWars I have seen a few reviews for their 21. Seems to be fantastic, but it comes with a heavy price!

Oh I can imagine! And unfortunately those ones are out of the budget. Although perhaps in the future to celebrate special occasions I could see myself breaking the bank for one or two but I would perhaps opt for an old redbreast or laphroaig before the Bowmore. What would you be the whisky to tempt you 18+?

@@WhiskyWars great question, but sadly the cost of 18+ is rather high. There is a company called COSTCO which releases 20+ Scotch for a great price and is rather good, ex-sherry. Other than that I have not bought older releases in the last 6 months.

Good comparison. Thanks for this honest try. I tried 5 Bowmore expressions: nr1, 10,12,15 and 18. No one really impressed me. 18 at 43% is solid and quite nice. 12 is ok, i wish it have 46%. Bowmore has really good spirit and its a shame they bottling their core range at low abv. Simply whisky for beginers. This AM 10yo is 4x more expensive than the nr 1 and still 40%. Its slap in customer face! Looks like box costs 50% of price. Such a shame. Have you had pleasure to try any of McTalla series?? These are nice craft presentation expressions and few people say they are 99% sure its Bowmore!! Happy New Year to You and Your Channel. All the best 😁🥂🙋🏻‍♂️

Thanks, the 12 year at 46% would be amazing. I’m surprised I’ve never really seen a cask strength release from them, I’d imagine it would be really good but you’re right, their market is the 40% one but I think they’re a great easy drinker and they’re always very affordable. This 10 year AM is the worst of the 5 I’ve tried so certainly not worth the money (they’re the same 5 as the ones you’ve tried).
I haven’t but I’ll certainly look them up, thanks for the recommendation! And thank you for the good wishes, it would be nice to reach 500 subscribers at some point next year and I wish you a happy and healthy 2023! I’m sure there will be whiskies we haven’t tried yet that we end up loving next year so I look forward to that 🥃

I got the AM BM 10 as a gift... I think it is one of the worst I've tasted. Bitter, burnt machine oil. Very unpleasant to drink, smell etc. And it is the ONLY whisky that has ever given me heartburn, indigestion. All in all, it is trash. I would prefer a cheap watery blend like famous grouse, or ballantines finest etc, over this any day.

I have to say, I think the 10 is the worse Bowmore I’ve tasted as well, marketing at its worst really
