Finally someone gave this ending some light! this game was made 10 years ago but still got that disturbing vibes i love it! although its not canon anymore since the creator removed this ending but its still makes some sense and also interesting. it probably got dumped because it revealed too much, that's the oppisite thing the game tries to tell you its like a reward for everyone that found out the truth themselves
If I remember, in the April 2012 release of the game, this ending was known as the "true ending" and could only be accessed if you picked up a specific key early in the game. Not only that, but this early version of the game had a bit of a different plot which i assume is also why this ending was scrapped in the current version. It just doesn't make sense with the story we have now. But yeah its an interesting find! Im actually trying to find the April 2012 release of Utahonotatari to check out the old story.
@@MikoEffect I think with the Utahokami who wants to let everyone know the truth to revive the cult, getting the new sacrifice, the god might do this for few reasons: 1. after Utano hanged herself, this would be the hottest news in the society the next day, everyone will try to find the reason why Utano killed her family then suicide, it would revive the Utahokyo due to everyone trying to find the truth 2. Utahokami wants Utano learn the truth, go desperate, knowing everyone will be doomed, then kill herself, and this excatly happened but all of this is just my theory maybe oni created this room in order to kill Utano? who will know
I did not release a patch that makes this accessible in the English translation due to the developer changing the story, which is why this ending is unused. I did however make it so I could enter this room and view the ending, only for this video though.
@@MikoEffect my guy you're literally gigachad, i've been waiting for a translation for so long and damn was i losing hope, especially considering it's a game as old as dodos. You've earned a sub bro
