I love learning from you both. I like to make food and take it to my neighbors to try and they love it!! My grown adult children and grandbabies don't live here in Texas, so I cook for others. My bff is recovering from stage 4 ovarian cancer so I cook for her. She is a very picky eater but she loves my cooking. I can't wait to try these tacos.

I agree with you about using your senses when cooking. I've done that when cooking bacon on top of the stove. I can hear the oil cooking it too a point then it quiets after it's ready on one side then I flip the bacon on the other side to cook. For crispy bacon.

I freaking love my sisters so much!!!! I have a twin sister, Jessica and a little sister April (2 years younger), April lives with me. I recently had my gal bladder give out on me in the middle of the night around May 24th this year and coincidentally my youngest was terribly ill with a 103.5 fever (not COVID thankfully). April took me and my little one to the hospital. My baby had the regular flu and went home with April. April called Jessica to let her know what's going on, Jessica came rushing to my side (she lives 2 hours away). I was admitted into the hospital and stayed there for 4 days, enduring emergency abdominal surgery and blood transfusions. Jessica was able to stay with me in the hospital the entire time, offering her love and support. April stayed home and took care of my little ones which obviously took a lot off my mind (the kids dad is a loser who is not in the picture). When I got home April took care of me. I have never in my life felt so loved and cared for. Just thinking about it and sharing my story is making me cry. So for my sisters I dedicate the song by Natalie Merchant, "Kind and Generous". This song only skims the surface of the love and gratitude I feel for my sisters.
I made these yesterday for dinner and made more today. OMGatos, they are sooooo good 😋 My kids loved them.
