I'll take this and add to my idea: The trade machine caught fire cooking Dewdrop to ash meanwhile Miki survived with slight burns. Mike holding the ashes in his necklace hears the voice of Dewdrop wanting revenge and with the help of a Flareon he burns the childhood house with Steven trapped inside to make him feel the pain Dewdrop felt before snapping outta it to see the house collapse killing Steven.
Alright my vision on what happen: I like to think that in this version, mike still accidently killed Miki, and everything happend the same, but differently from the original creepypasta, steven isn't passive-agressive towards mike, only ignoring him, and not even looking his way. Mike, was full of grief, and guilt, and the way his brother was treating him made him feel anxious and fear for the worst. He also had constant nightmares and night terrors of miki and steven trying to kill him. So one night, mike sneaks in steven's room, and watches him sleep. He looks at one of his brother's pillow, and puts it on Steven's face, then starts to strangle him this way. Steven would try to fight back, screaming and yelling for mike to stop, but mike jumps on top of him and finishes the job. Mike looks at his brother one last time and his unfinished pokedex, and run away from the house, leaving steven's body to be found by their neighbors.
Mike singing Steven part shows that how Steven's vocal are definitely unsynced so that's maybe why you heard one of Mike's part is a bit odd and not sync well
