It’s crazy how things go full circle, from being a child gutted that Matt didn’t show up (he was my favorite) to a Safeway CD signing with whispers it was because he was ‘hungover’, to sitting here as a 31 recovering alcoholic myself, I’m really proud to see him do this and also how far, and how life changing recovery has been in both our lives. If anyone is struggling remember right now you think that you’re losing everything by quitting, but what you can’t see is you’ll be gaining everything. Thousands of people are going what you are going through right now so just take a chance how you are and reach out for help, you won’t be judged and you don’t have to go through it alone anymore.
She a wonderful woman staying with her husband through thick and thin dats sticking to their marriage vows for better and for worse and doing it lovingly may God continue to strengthen support uphold and more blessings on you both
I'm sat in a H.M.O in Birmingham just watched the documentary. I been clean 3 years til end of April. I've relapsed. I'm a crack addict but unlike most addicts I always do it alone. I'm recovering from breast cancer awaiting a date to have kidney removed. I'm mum of 2 a boy 27 and a girl 19 I have a 2 year old grandson a family who support again and again this time though they would have to walk away from me. For their own sake. But that doesn't stop me from scoring. It's like a form of self harm. I'm about to move in with a lovely guy bk in same town my kids are. Hearing Matt talk about his childhood having blanks I'm same. I hear my mum telling stories from when I was little and I nod along like I remember but I don't. Matt the documentary was good, Emma Willis you are a force of nature truly inspiring. I could keep writing but I'll stop. Just wanted to tell someone I've fucked up wish I had your strength

I feel absolutely glad when i see support groups in many places, becuase i have the opportunity to talk with histories very similar and make that on your empathy. 💛❤💚💙 Gracias a todas esas personas.
Honestly, Emma is such an incredible woman for real. Not many women can cope with this. Glad to see Matt working hard to get better and be a better man for himself and his family. They deserve better. Best wishes to them 🙏🏽❤️

I'm going to point this out but I want to preface it by saying that I believe the research put into the script written for this episode was thoroughly given full the due diligence by its author(s). When Kevin asks if AFCI/GFCI receptacles can be put on this(14awg) as well as that(12awg), they purposefully referred to the conductors vaguely because I doubt they could confirm that 16awg(or any gauge below 14awg) could or could not be used with a FCI devices. YES! I know there are no standard FCI wall receptacles that use 16awg for power, but FCIs don't need to be part of a receptacle. They can be in the circuit breakers, on power strips, or attached to appliance cords. And I bet not every appliance cord with a FCI on it has 14awg to the appliance... So it is possible. The point is the researcher couldn't find any code limiting the exact specific scenario of a FCI rated for lower gauges or codes regarding it. I prefer FCIs on breakers, myself. Unless you're retrofitting old service. Then it can be a she-dog!

Anyone who becomes "hooked" on hard drugs via a medically prescribed treatment has my sympathy. The rest do not. Besides, I am always amazed how they seem able to afford the stuff in the first place! Or why?

@@songsmith31a you didn't, and couldn't deny anything I said. You copped to being judgemental, which is not a positive attribute by the way. You then continued to show condescension and a lack of empathy. I think my assessment of you is spot on. If you're happy being that way, that's on you. But why on earth you would choose to watch a video on addiction, when you have contempt for addicts is beyond me. Let's just hope no-one you love has an addiction in the future eh.
N u work in custody!!! Omg 🤯 some of the best people are addicts and some of the worst people have never done drugs no wander ppl struggle to rehabilitate when ppl in charge of their care are judgemental like u

What an incredible woman ♥
Indeed so. She's a keeper !!
This made me cry because it hits home how isolated loved ones are and it brought up some past emotions 😢
I found salvation in 12 step programs
Just celebrated 19 years abstinence 10th May just gone
Massive congratulations on 19 years sobriety 💙✌️🙏
I've always liked Matt Willis. He's very brave to talk about this. I think he will help other people 💙

King Back🥰
I haven't watched the main program yet, what is Matt addicted to ?
I've watched it.
Who is helping Emma if she is taking care of her husband and their children?
drug addiction is a no no. People lives get affected.
Why do you need to be with people who also struggle?
Probably to share experiences
@@Jesusofsuburbia768 obviously that’s the idea. How does sharing experiences help?
@@toughluck1966 Maybe to support each other, so they know they're not alone

Nothing like a judgmental person with no empathy and a condescending attitude, who clearly knows nothing about the subject. Smh...
