She was of course very angry when she found out (which started the spiral of her knowing that her record execs had no issues lying to her 🙄) and said that she was a huge fan of Christina, and is inspired by and looks up to her music and voice. I guarantee that Christina never forgot this, because even though Aguilera IS a diva and can probably be a nightmare sometimes...there’s a narrative in the industry about her being this impossibly evil Regina George type mean girl that she had to have known about. So for Kelly not to be swayed by that and stand her ground with her own opinions...I’m sure Christina had mad respect for that. I think most people don’t believe this, but strong women totally admire other strong women. I’m not sure there are many men who do the same.

You don't just throw them in all over the place just because you can do them. Now Kelly has some great vocal technique. If you want to see what this mezzo soprano can do when she wants to, watch her duet with Josh Groban "All I Ask Of You" from Phantom of The Opera. Her breath control is flawless. Kelly has some rightious head tones on her high notes. One of the signs of a vocalist as opposed to an untrained singer is the ability to sing a song as written appearing to do so with little or no effort at all. Kelly is a good vocalist and great when she wants to pull out all the stops. To hear female vocalists with almost flawless technique watch live performances by Celine Dion and Belgian singer-songwriter Lara Fabian, the latter doesn't get enough exposure here in the US and she well desires it. While the genre she primarily sings in may not be to your taste - you have to admit like Céline, Lara Fabian can blow the roof of the joint! While Céline is starting to show her age in some performances Lara can hit her "money" big notes like Swiss clockwork. There are several of her love performance videos you can watch her sing like "Adagio" in her 20s, 30s, and at her 40s. Her voice is flawless and clear in all three decades. Fabian is fluent, writes and sings in French, Italian, English and Spanish. In the French song "Je suis malade" Lara tells the dramatic story of a lover abandoned such that you don't even need to understand the language to feel the emotions of the story this song tells. To see a truly excellent male vocalist while the voice critics are going crazy over a guy called Dimash. My vote still goes to David Bowie. He's a Baritone yet he has managed to stretch his range well into the "money" high notes of a Tenor like Adam Lambert whose range is crazy insane. I am a Baritone. Life happened. For two decades I did not sing, not even in the shower. Singers like Josh Groban, Lara Fabian and Dutch rock singer-songwriter Anouk have lit the fire in me. I am learning to sing and not letting my ego get in the way. I had lousy technique before. I am learning from the basics. It's late night and I have been doing stream of consciousness. If you made it this far than you see where I am coming from. I actually like X-tina I am critical because I know she's capable of much more. But, hey she sells records and I don't... yet.
It would’ve been epic if she was just sitting in the audience and see if Christina noticed her. If she didn’t, it would be great if she didn’t and jumped up and startled them!
I wonder what it feels like to wake up in a mansion and have fresh squeeze juice and warm bread on a balcony breakfast table overlooking some nice oceanic view. *Sigh*
She has worked hard, but really, it takes that plus more. You also have to have lots of talent, make good moves and decisions, and have a bit of luck on your side, to be where she is. You can't "make it" on pure hard work. You also have to be gifted at what you do, take big leaps, find people to help you, and pray things go your way. The rest is up to fate. Millions of good, hard-working, and deserving people, are overlooked all the time. Like her, you gotta be the complete package to have a chance. She's done well with her opportunities, but I think it's also important to remember that she's quite gifted in looks and talent. Just being real.
I like how they remember where they came from. Some kids were definitely more privileged than others, but they both had the work ethic, lots of luck and the exceptional talent to get them to the top.

Let's not forget that Xtina had her nasty moments in the industry as well back in the day. You don't know how much the industry tries to paint female artists in a negative way or pit them against each other. The male dominant hip hop industry turned against nicki because of her success and therefore tried to blackball her and replace her. Though I don't necessarily agree with the way she handled all of this, I understand where nicki came from. Also nicki uplifts and supports a lot of real artists e.g Meagan the stallion (who write their own stuff and have skills unlike cardi b)

Kelly is the one show that has kept some things as far as the TV show format but shes made the interviews more authentic. You can tell when shes genuinely vibing with someone. I like the authentic conversation rather than the written one but i know every guest isnt going to be as open as Christina. Sometimes you have to use the cards.. but this interview was great! Let's not forget that Xtina had her nasty moments in the industry as well back in the day. You don't know how much the industry tries to paint female artists in a negative way or pit them against each other. The male dominant hip hop industry turned against nicki because of her success and therefore tried to blackball her and replace her. Though I don't necessarily agree with the way she handled all of this, I understand where nicki came from. Also nicki uplifts and supports a lot of real artists e.g Meagan the stallion (who write their own stuff and have skills unlike cardi b)

Kelly is the one show that has kept some things as far as the TV show format but shes made the interviews more authentic. You can tell when shes genuinely vibing with someone. I like the authentic conversation rather than the written one but i know every guest isnt going to be as open as Christina. Sometimes you have to use the cards.. but this interview was great! I wouod love to hear a Kelly and Christina collab!
