I like how you remind people that youre not on vacation. That's the first thing I tell people when I meet them on my travels. "I'm not on holiday, this is my life."
This kind of video might pull in new watchers who are more traditional vacationers so I figured we could get comments from that perspective. It’s incredible we can design our lives, isn’t it? ❤️❤️❤️
@@GoWithLess the flexibility is the best! That new FIRE couple is going to be exhausted after 3 months of fast travel in Europe, especially in the off-season in winter! Just like in the workplace, you have to let people make their own decisions, wallow in some pain, and learn from there. I’m curious how they’ll feel after the 3 months! 🫣
@@alantoloza9382 We all figure out our groove. 😀 We’re doing 7 Asian cities in 7 weeks next spring. We are we itching to go after FIREing in 2015. Let’s see how we do. We already know it’ll be a lot.
I lived at a Fairmont Hotel for 9 weeks for a yoga training in Mexico. The first two weeks were wonderful with the food choices, but it never changed for 9 weeks. People would come and visit for a week or less and be wow'd, but after a few weeks it got old. I know what you mean about the food being the same.
Gothenburg is an amazing city and beautiful surroundings. There are canal type tours and, if you are there for an extended time, the coastal areas are absolutely beautiful! Sweden is known for their outdoor activities.
Nice to hear from you. Haven't gotten a notification in awhile, wondering how and why? Looking forward to seeing the video later when I can find an hour
You can definitely get quick food all over Europe. Cant imagine how hungry we must get in Europe 😁😁😁 I think theres a lot of benefit in watching this, I don't fancy cruises, this hasn't changed my mind. But I will probably take the QM2 to New York.
I don’t know…we’ve spent 3 entire summers in Europe since 2018 and the only place we consistently see a quick bite at 3pm is London. Not fast food, more like a cup of soup. Many places close between lunch and dinner, too.
I'm with you, five to eight hours in a new place isn't enough time! I think I would do a cruise again if I combine it with a stay in one or two of the area's to get a better feel of the region.
If I am staying in a town, I agree, leave the passport in the hotel safe or at the airbnb. But if I do a day trip further afield, I do like to have the passport. Leaving my passport on the ship would make me nervous; there is always a risk of a mishap; you don't make the ship and here you are in Germany where you can't even check into a hotel without a passport...
This was our experience on Royal Caribbean and Carnival in 2022. We tested with small amounts first to make sure it worked. At any point, policies could change so we’d recommend anyone trying it does a test on their own. We went to the casino and loaded money at a video betting machine. It was billed to our room and came out of our onboard ship credit. We went to the casino cashier to cash out our casino balance and we’re given USD immediately.
Love this! I'll be trying to live on nothing but cruise ships for a year soon & this is great insight.

I feel the same way. I have to constantly tell my wife we're not on vacation and stop spending like we are.

What an abundance of information and impressions. Thank you!
Sorry I missed it live, but very informative! Thanks for sharing, Amy and Tim!

I like to listen to your videos while I do chores. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Thanks for listening!

Hi Steve! We aren’t on a schedule for videos any longer. Once a month with our spending and maybe a second. Thanks for saying hi!

We felt the same way about Helsinki. Nice place but we don't need to go back. We are loving Cambodia right now. See you in Bali.
Very interesting information! Barefoot Contessa!!! Yes! Thanks!!
Loved Dublin! Cannot wait for future cruises in Europe.
I hope you’ll explore every port when you sail. So many incredible ports in Europe.
Yes had the cardamom rolls this summer for the first time in Bend from sparrow bakery, life changing, I ate like 5 in one week and miss them!
Life changing!! I found a good one where we are now in Mexico. Not AS good as Copenhagen…but really delicious.
There are studies that show that food monotony helps with weight loss. People eat less when it's not as interesting.
This is probably why we didn’t gain weight. But, it’s not as yummy. 😀

please give Helsinki a second chance. It will grow on you...
Sounds like an amazing time
It was a good experience!
just to add, there is WAY more to do in Helsinki than Talinn...
Really interesting. People focus too much on the ship and not enough about the ports.
We tried to do both. 😀
Thanks for the video. Can you provide more details on how to convert on board credit to cash?

Thank you for the tip. I'll try in a week. We will be with Carnival.
Yay!
So much Tim and Amy! Like a month worth. 😂😂
Why did you do the back to back cruises on the same ship?
Please stop yelling. I love your information but because you are yelling its hard to enjoy.
And the speed along with pitch not good
Sounds like 30 days of hell. Lucky you were not on the bigger Carnival Ships where you are lucky to survive!
I Love you guys videos! But, your poor husband can hardly get a word in edge-wise (lol)
