Normally, when a news outlet clips a quote, they do it somewhat honestly.
The Hill should have written it thusly: "[...] very professional, very smart. Very tough at the same time."
But even if they had done that, they'd still be engaging in dishonesty, because their claim is that McCarthy said the above about Biden. He didn't.
Here's the full quote from when a reporter asked him about his meeting with Biden: "I thought his team was very professional, very smart. Very tough at the same time."
So The Hill intentionally misquoted McCarthy (there's no way it wasn't intentional) and you all wasted 11 minutes being outraged over something he never said, AND spreading the lie to your (thankfully very few) viewers.
