I love this. I used to work with relationship coaches and I said it years ago, over a decade, that "you complete me," is SO Co-dependent it is NOT healthy. He asked her, "why do women go out with the troubled man...as opposed to the healthy man?" A, she replied,, "I think it has to do with your past, it has to do your inner child...it has to do with unresolved trauma.... You start lookinng at your past". That is so relatable for me. Just recently, I reflected on my past fails and relationships & I realized the problem....that I never learned early on in life how to maintain a relationship.
1:37:13 I’m 55 years old, married and with 2 children and I never realized how important was to work in knowing myself before get to know a partner. This was kind of masterclass for teenagers to adults to thinking seriously how to build healthy relationship . Felicitaciones a los 2 por su excelente ejemplo!!!!
I loved seeing her love for you Lewis, everyone deserves love, but you especially Lewis. You've given so much to people and are always growing into an even more amazing person. Thanks for the interview Lewis ❤
I don’t have enough words to express how great this was. Love you guys together! This is exactly what I learned about relationships but it took kissing many frogs to have clarity. I’m still single, but I look at myself so differently, I had to really heal from so much that single is ok. I’ve learned to love myself first. Love you guys and yessss another one of these would be amazing! ❤❤
It was just so inspiring to see the two of you reaping the fruits of your individual inner healings. You both have modelled what a healthy relationship looks like. I feel that could have been somewhat scary and intimidating for you too. It took real cajones to expose to the world what a smart and wise woman she is.
For anyone wondering… the 5 wounds she is talking about is from a book : Heal your wounds and find your true self by Lise Bourbeau. In french: Les 5 blessures qui empêchent d’être soi-même.
Everything she said resonates deep within my soul!! Values are so so important!! I always try to change the person thinking I’m helping them! I want to love someone unconditionally and for who they are! I am manifesting someone who loves me for me! 💙🌌💫
How lucky she is to express each and everything in front of his spouse.its because of his respect to her which made her special and confident more. Love and respect for you both.

Bawling my eyes out at how open and loving this was. So helpful and absolutely life-changing for me to see two independent people love each other so openly and in such a dynamic way. Really inspiring conversation with two humans who have learned to love themselves, help others, and align with their person. So cool.
I am Mexican married to an American woman. Same like you, but the opposite. The biggest challenge we have had has been the cultural differences. I was raised and educated in Mexico City and she in the USA. I would love for you guys to do a show about cultural differences and how to deal with them. How have you done so that your cultural differences do not affect your relationship?
Cultural differences will be just that always different, unchanging. You just adapt to that and go with the flow of things. People always identify with their cultures and upbringing, its not something that changes overtime. This is why its important to first evaluate if cultures differ if that's something your willing to be accepting of in the other person. Tradition and culture always shows in people. It's best to refrain from getting involved with someone that you can't accept their culture because there's always disagreements that will happen and you can't change someone else for yourself to be pleased.
Hi friend, it is not something easy to anticipate contrarily to what the other answer said. We learn on the go, feel stressed, misunderstood or whatever by thw other person reaction, and it takes time to figurw out that these oppositions are in dact different perspectives. However this is cultural and this is as well individual, becaise ain't each if us building our own culture in a way, even inside one or several culture. So it get ti the same point, see the other person take away as alternatives in this world and not fundamentally something against our views or personal. How you guys have been doing with tjese differences? One love. We are on one Planet you know,we can work it out
Yes!! Not only do we need a part 2.. this needs to be a regular segment please !! So amazing! You guys are a wonderful representation of the meaning of love. ..matter of fact ... .please get you Two and jay and radhi together for a monthly episode please ❤❤❤

These types of things are so important to me because they help me have hope that these good relationships can exist. After a lifetime of abuse and trauma, I'm really working on healing and reframing things, and stuff like this is such a gift on my journey, so thank you
Wow this is awesome VV! It takes a hell of a lot of courage to face your shadow-self and heal the wounds that keep you and happy. I have done much can't sing in group therapy for myself and now I love myself unconditionally more everyday and I am so very deeply grateful that I had the courage to do it. ! Because it is worth it to be able to see the world in a whole different perspective 💕🦄💕
Going through this process it’s crazy how she literally put in words everything I have been thinking and healing. Amazing! I feel very identified and it’s a confirmation I’m on the right path. 🙏 blessed and refreshing to hear all this. ❤️🩹
Yes for part 2 I see why Lewis loves Martha. I like her within 20 mins. Look at Martha’s eyes when she talks, she is completely open and truthful! I didn’t want to change my ex, I try to accept him. But how can you accept someone when he doesn’t know who he is, and cannot be open about it. I said I need to leave so he doesn’t need to change to tell his truth. Some people are not ready to get to know themselves. Omg she said it feels like family, he said which part of the family, I thought …the abandonment or the way she doesn’t explain anything part of my mother was my ex husband lol.
Sometimes accepting people as they are means seeing that that’s where they are at, and then changing the configuration of the relationship so that it is also right for you. Like, “ok, this is the way you are. I’m not ok with someone like that being my intimate partner, so we should just be friends.”
@@HeartFireSessions very true. It took me a while to figure that out, then more time to walk away. If one is not on a mindful journey, it is not easy to realize what’s going on and not react to it.
What a great conversation, thanks for sharing! I'm 38 and just got out of the most unhealthy/toxic relationship I've ever been in and find myself in so much of what you're saying. This gives me hope. You seem to be a wonderful couple. All the best to you! Would love to hear more.
Yes, talk about when things are not in total alignments, love not being enough (which I know is true 😞), boundaries, shared visions conscientiously, also how each partner becomes aware of the other’s reasonable needs without feeling it’s a demand.
When she said that a man doesn’t feel like he’s enough even though he gives the girl everything. I definitely felt that. My ex would told me I wasn’t enough plenty of times. Until now I had it ingrained in my brain that I’ll never be enough for someone. Jaa now I know that it’s not me it was her. Gracias
I’ve followed you for several years. This is one of my favorites!! Thank you for sharing this much needed conversation! You two are simply delightful!!!

After watching this, a year ago, I started to look at my relationships. I started to look for my wounds and in the first place I said that I don't have any ...that this is just not true but then I discovered why I was jealous. I felt like I could not control myself. Thanks to this interview I did what she said. Why getting in these relationships when you could take therapy and heal first before looking for a new relationship. This is how a person can literally change other people's lives, by being authentic and talking from experience and being able to face its own fears, thanks Martha you really saved me by narcissistic men because that was my pattern which I discovered after I dug for a while. 🎉

You guys are great together!!.....this episode is fantastic 👏🏼, so many of us thinking about finding our other half 😢 when in real life first we have to find ourselves ❤
OMG, I love this! ❤️ I loved especially what you said about your priorities, Lewis! I just wrote a priority list for myself 2 days ago and the first two were the same, in the exact same order, for the same reasons. I've been with my husband for 16 years and we have 4 kids together, but what I realised early on in my life is that you are your first responsibility. Just what Martha said, you cannot take care of others unless you take care of yourself first. But I kind of forgot about it for a while and it took its toll on me. I had to actually grow into that mindset and heal a lot of my trauma (there's still a lot to heal, though...) not just to understand all of this but to have a deep knowing about the truth of it. Really, you've been talking about all my realisations and my journey in healing throughout the whole conversation! This was soooo inspiring and empowering! Thank you so much to both of you for being so authentic! You are role models!❤🙏

A, she replied,, "I think it has to do with your past, it has to do your inner child...it has to do with unresolved trauma.... You start lookinng at your past". That is so relatable for me. Just recently, I reflected on my past fails and relationships & I realized the problem....that I never learned early on in life how to maintain a relationship.
Omg I didn't knew you guys were together! Totally awesome!
1:37:13 I’m 55 years old, married and with 2 children and I never realized how important was to work in knowing myself before get to know a partner. The key work in the art of happiness and in the successful life is working in our inner child wounds and be clear who you are before to choose anyone to share the life with you. This was kind of masterclass for teenagers to adults to thinking seriously how to build healthy relationship . Felicitaciones a los 2 por su excelente ejemplo!!!!
You guys give me hope and faith that real love does exist. Please do this more!
I did not have any idea how much this episode would help me as I navigate my own life... please part 2. Martha is amazing with her words
Thank you!
Yess I clicked on the video out of curiously and ended up going back several times, taking notes and realizing my wounds and those of my loved ones 😮❤
I loved seeing her love for you Lewis, everyone deserves love, but you especially Lewis. You've given so much to people and are always growing into an even more amazing person. Thanks for the interview Lewis ❤
You're welcome,thank you for being here 🧡
Yes I do. This is very informative and both of you are open and honest 😊
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching.
Love this conversation!! As a Mexican I admired Martha a lot as an actress, however as a person a lot more 😘 Amazing couple 👏🏻❤️
Her English is first rate .
Muchas gracias !!! :)
you are a fool then
@@marthahigareda8 💗
Yes! Soy su fan!!
It was just so inspiring to see the two of you reaping the fruits of your individual inner healings. You both have modelled what a healthy relationship looks like. Two people building each other up and celebrating your own uniqueness. I would love to see another video of you both sharing your experiences and wisdoms. All the best to you both.💜
Appreciate you and your support🧡
Man Martha!! Lewis Randy said she was awesome, but “seeing I love you through the eyes of another” dude! Powerful ! Much love you too. Congrats to you both !
Yes part 2 please! What a beautiful example of two humans loving each other deeply and supporting each and choosing each other to adventure in life together! I was emotional at the end when they spoke in gratitude of each others love ❤ what a beautiful example to follow in my own relationship❤
She is one of the most insightful relationship experts I’ve ever seen you interview. And she wasn’t even introduced as a relationship expert! Thank you for sharing her greatness with your audience.
Thank you very much for sharing
Everything she said resonates deep within my soul!! Values are so so important!! I always try to change the person thinking I’m helping them! I want to love someone unconditionally and for who they are! I am manifesting someone who loves me for me! 💙🌌💫
Martha!!! You go Girl!!! You are my definition of an "EVOLVED WOMAN"
THANKS FOR BEING YOU ❤!!!!
How lucky she is to express each and everything in front of his spouse.its because of his respect to her which made her special and confident more. Love and respect for you both.
Martha is such a sweet heart, you can tell she’s done a whole lot of inner work& other things to grow as a person. I love her heart based words!
No ves defectos .
We need more shows about this topic . It’s also very important to talk about expectations in relationships
Bawling my eyes out at how open and loving this was. So helpful and absolutely life-changing for me to see two independent people love each other so openly and in such a dynamic way. Really inspiring conversation with two humans who have learned to love themselves, help others, and align with their person. So cool.
Thank you so much for your kind words 🧡
YES - I love Martha's insights. Please bring her in for a regular segment 😊
yes, agreed!!
I totally agree
I want to have relationship like Lewis has with Martha.
Thank you for being constant role model and sharing timeless truth
I love everything she’s saying❤ I love what she said “scare him early”. So wise!! Love her❤
Encore please! Part 2, 3, 4, 5, and so on!! We need more conversations of knowledge and wisdom with Lewis and Martha! Thank you for sharing your healthy love relationship
You're welcome, thank you for watching🧡
Loved this talk! Martha is a freaking boss standing in her personal power in a way that awes me!!! Yesss please to parts 2,3,4,5!!!
Thank you Kelly!
I second that, Kelly!!! :)
I would like to add the end brought tears to my eyes, when they expressed their gratitude, sharing what they have learned from each other so far... :)
Wow! I’m Mexican-American.
I was fallowing Martha Higadera and Lewis independently way before they were together. Seeing them together is very joyful.
Thank you! Your support means a lot🧡
@@barbaraclayton6053 Thank you Barbara! May we both continue on this path and create wonderful lives!
Sending good healing vibes!! ❤
What a privilege to listen to you two talk about your very thoughtful relationship.
Thank you so much! 🧡
Martha's English is amazing! Lewis' introduction was just the most perfect definition of love and admiration for your special one.
Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂
¡Ustedes son una inspiración de verdad! Qué relación tan bonita y sana. Me encantan los podcasts de ambos. ¡Qué viva el amor! ❤
Going through this process it’s crazy how she literally put in words everything I have been thinking and healing. Amazing! I feel very identified and it’s a confirmation I’m on the right path. 🙏 blessed and refreshing to hear all this. ❤️🩹
her metaphor about someone being part of your universe...was genius!!
Yes for part 2
I see why Lewis loves Martha.
So true. some people can't be helped either.
You're welcome, thank you for watching🧡
Yes, talk about when things are not in total alignments, love not being enough (which I know is true 😞), boundaries, shared visions conscientiously, also how each partner becomes aware of the other’s reasonable needs without feeling it’s a demand.
When she said that a man doesn’t feel like he’s enough even though he gives the girl everything. I definitely felt that. My ex would told me I wasn’t enough plenty of times. Until now I had it ingrained in my brain that I’ll never be enough for someone. Jaa now I know that it’s not me it was her. Gracias
What a beautiful and mature conversation. Lewis and Martha, you embody the conscious couple.
I’ve followed you for several years. This is one of my favorites!! Thank you for sharing this much needed conversation! You two are simply delightful!!!
You're welcome, thank you for watching🧡
Well, i just read the news they got engaged. I didnt know the guy, sorry. Have seen Higadera since she was super young back in Mexico and I always liked her personality. I am very happy to see her this happy and I am very happy to see that he seems like a really good guy.
What a wonderful conversation and how sweet and wise Martha is.
Also how well she can express herself. It was a pleasure to listen.
Martha for president!❤
I’ve learned more about the way I react in relationships from this conversation than I have during the last twenty years and I have worked hard on myself. This conversation explained so much for me. Thank you love birds ❤
I think when you give and recieve love in certain ways and it matches organically for the other person is just BEAUTIFUL
Yes! I definitley want a Part 2 to this conversation please. Listening to the two of you discuss these things has really helped me re-center myself for my own growth. The journey has been rough lately and this helped me to keep pressing on. Also, just hearing how much she loves you is really wholesome and beautiful. So yes please. Part 2 ASAP.
Martha is an old soul that has awakened
So many compliments when ppl do not notice that these two ppl are gorgeous. It really is easy to love and be loved when you are attractive. You are then positive brave and confident. I would like to hear from ppl who do not have all this from the start. How are these ppl going to live?
They work on gorgeousness and attractiveness then
I wouldn't have never guessed that these two would end up together. I am beyond happy for both of you. You're the perfect match made in heaven ❤ Keep up the great work.
Absolutely we need a part 2 pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I loved this episode! Sent it to a bunch of people and took notes. Thank you so much for this incredible gem 💎♥️🫶🏻
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for listening.
We will love the second part, certainly is plenty of wisdom, and for that i want to thank you for helping this human to be a better person. ❤
I actually applied her advice to the friendships that I have often found challenging to carry on.
What did you do,I am facing same ?
👍
Yessss please!!! best interview on Love and Relationship ever listened. There's such a higher sense of self in both of you that makes it enriching and so potent. We want more #2 for sure. Thanks Lewis Howes grateful for you
So glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you for watching. 🧡
Abandonment can also be not getting emotional connection or validation even if both parents are present. Thank you for your candor, openness, and wisdom. Healing and communication is so important. ❤
It’s so beautiful to watch two awakened people creating a beautiful loving relationship together ❤
Lewis' best podcast. Brought tears to my eyes regarding the love between these two.
Thank you!
Thank you both. What an extraordinary conversation! We should be taught this in school. ❤ So many people are children of dysfunctional relationships. How far we have to go.
Agree! We need this type of education in the classrooms.
Same thing I said! This would be great in school.
I wish I would’ve listened to this before getting married and having kids.. now I have no clue how to leave 💔😭
I'm in the same boat. Have to trust the universe's timing.
Me three! I’m going to save this and make my kids watch this before they start dating!!!
Wow, I am going through having lost my husband, who I did have as the importance in my life. Now, I am doing the work to find what I truly need to be happy. The problem is I still want someone to just hangout with. This show is a big help for my healing. THANK YOU, LEWIS!!
I was so happy to see that you’d be interviewing one of our great Mexican actors and ecstatic when I learned of your relationship 🎉 I rarely post comments, clearly I had to make an exception. The love is off the charts! 💕 Thank you for this and all of your interviews 😊
You're welcome, thank you for watching🧡
I'm watching Martha's interview of Lewis and it's so good. Can't wait to watch this one too!
Thanks!
I thought Lewis will propose in the end of the interview 😍 you are both fortunate to be with each other ♥️❤️
We are so honored to hear Martha's input. Thank you Lewis for another wonderful interview. She is a sister, a friend, a mother for all of us who dont have such a figure in our lives. What a beauty with brains! And what a great looking couple you are.
Thank you ❤ onto a great Re-start this 2025 of finding myself, ...to heal, learn, grow and be whole again to find and give authentic love.
Blessings to all of you ❤
oh my gosh, did not expect to start crying when the two of you reached across the table to hold hands. Congratulations. So happy for both of you.
Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂
Hour 1:20:32 WOW maturity is clear. No need to fight for being a priority. Your cup is full and is willing to give naturally. ❤❤❤ best convo guys! Thank you!

Love Martha We’d really enjoy more talks by her on relationships she has an incredible perspective and can help me and so many others
👍
I am on this journey to discover my self more than 11 years and I am extremely grateful for this amazing podcast, where is condensed years and years for healing, Lewis and Martha, both of us you helped a lot of people with your beautiful story.
Thank you so much!
Be blessed with LOVE ❤
GREATNESS ❤ THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you!!
You guys are great together!!.....this episode is fantastic 👏🏼, so many of us thinking about finding our other half 😢 when in real life first we have to find ourselves ❤
OMG, I love this! ❤️
I loved especially what you said about your priorities, Lewis!
You are role models!❤🙏
yes part 2 would be great. was brought up an old fashion way by my mother and previously I thought I had changed many of my faults but realised that I still have more work to do on myself ♥we never stop learning and to be humble and vulnerable.
I don’t know why I am crying listening to this conversation… thank you to both of you ❤
There's nothing as good as personal growth...I am so happy to be on this journey.
Yes, we want a part 2!!! Pretty please, this has been so insightful! Thank you both so much for sharing your experiences!
You are both unique! You can feel the kindness and the warmth in Martha! Two beautiful souls who finally meet! Yes, to a part 2, please, cz I learned so much in this so needed, (especially in today’s world), deep, conversation! All the best in your endeavours and thank you!❤😊
